Hi all,

I wanna know your thoughts on my dad s case petitioning for his wife. We are preparing the AOS form now. He will be making roughly $25,000++ based on his last pay check for 2020. He is a lawful permanent resident who immigrated here Oct 2019. He started working Jan 2020. We re thinking of filing his taxes early in Jan 2021 so we can use it for the AOS but his income will just be a little bit over the required income of $21.5k for a household size of 2 (just him and his wife).

Do you think his 2020 tax will be enough? or should I just co sponsor since he does not have the 3 year work history here to back him up?

I know it really sucks, but the best way to get through this is to lower your expectations and try not to compare your timeline to anyone else's. Don't forget that the people here on Visa Journey represent a tiny percentage of all the petitions the CSC (California Service Center) must work through! When someone gets to your file, you'll hear from them.
