US Immigration from Philippines

Hello all,

Our two children were approved by the NVC on November 8, 2021. What is the current wait time for IR-2 visa interviews at the Manilla embassy? I saw the thread for IR-5 and I'm wondering if Im in the same boat with them. If so, I guess my next step would to expedite.

Does anyone have inside knowledge or actual facts on when US citizens are allowed to travel to manila? I ve heard you need a visa now, I ve heard we have to be on the green list country, I ve heard it s a mandatory 10 day quarantine at a specific hotel. I just really want to go visit my fianc , the waiting is really hard. Thanks

Hi everyone, I just wanna ask if anybody knows how to apply for tourists visa for my mother. We don t have any business or any bank account to prove so I don t know if they gonna deny if I apply for her. She s 64 years old and she s not working, she s a housewife. Any insights, thanks..

I was planning to petition her but she s hesitant to come here that s why I was thinking if it s ok to try for tourists visa first. But I think you have to have some kind of money or income.. Idk

Has anyone arrived in Manila lately? It seems they have changed the procedure a little bit, there was not a PCR-RT booth that I could see. I arrived today with my CDC card with my two shots plus my booster, I also took a covid test the day before I left and showed them I had negative results. After the health check in there was not a PCR-RT test booth to sign up they sent the people to the next step which was the hotel conformation. After that it was immigration, grab your bags and then customs.

August 2018 the issuance of my Filipino passport. Expiration date is August 2028.

We got married in Philippines 2019

My husband filed my spousal visa January 2020

My question is do I need to change my last name on my passport? which is still my maiden name (unmarried name)

I'm using my husband's last name now since we got married and we have marriage certificate. But I just got my passport too that's why I still didn't update it to my married last name. It's pretty new it's kind of a waste if I update it already that's my reason. But you think I can use it to present to my interview soon? By the way, we're on the process of filing petitioner's taxes as of now..
