  1. Technically it's a no no but many people ship second hand clothing, I am in the process of moving to the Philippines and shipping quit a bit of my second hand clothing so I don't have to lug it to the airport and deal with possible extra costs of overweight bags.
  2. You also need a negative test if you are flying on a Hong Kong or Chinese based airline, even though the Philippines does not require it. If your layover stops in a country that still has negative test requirements even if you are switching planes. Need to check every country you touch down in to be safe.
  3. I purchased a 56 dollar ticket to HK on Cebu Pacific to meet the requirement of a return ticket. HKG and KLIA are normally the two least expensive one way options out of Manila.
  4. I have never been to Pampanga, that is why I haven't driven there so I could not share with the other person my experience.
  5. That does seem odd your company is asking you to get a work permit while on a trip, normally if you want to work in the Philippines as an expat most do it on a 13a visa or SRRV.
  6. The funny thing is this is not a new law, YouTubers are making videos on it and now all the sudden it's a hot topic. Kind of like the media pushing stories to get people to tune into their networks. The thing to worry about being an expat is being rude and disrespectful they have been getting removed and bared from re-entry the infamous blacklist. When I was at the local immigration office getting my visa extended there was an expat there screaming at the employee. The security guard said in Ilongo the expat was about to get his visa extension denied.
  7. All the time in the province, but never in the NCR or Pampanga areas. Our windows have limo tint so it's hard to see who is driving, if we do get stopped for more than a check point I hand a neatly folded bill under my drivers license as I hand it to the traffic enforcer. On our motorcycle we normally get stopped at check points to have our papers checked, we did get stopped for no helmets that is an automatic license surrender and a drive to the police station later in the day to pay the fine.
