My gf is here on her tourist visa. We decided to get married already so we got our marriage license two days ago. We live in the boonies, so the courthouse isn't backlogged and got it scheduled for Friday. Already hired a lawyer to help us with the green card and preparing all the forms already.

ALERT: Effective December 9, 2021, USCIS is temporarily waiving the requirement that the civil surgeon sign the Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record (Form I-693) no more than 60 days before the date the applicant files an Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status (Form I-485). It is still in the best interest of applicants to undergo the immigration medical examination close to the time of filing the Form I-485, as the Form I-693 only retains its evidentiary value for 2 years from the date of the civil surgeon s signature. After the 2-year timeframe, the applicant would need to submit a new Form I-693 if USCIS has not adjudicated the Form I-485. This temporary waiver is effective until September 30, 2022.

F11 benificiary, 2 yrs of waiting for interview & still counting & how long more to wait, it seems endless. Its already irrelevant to blame this Virus Pandemic since the Philippines nowadays has a low risk of covid & almost back to new normal & yet nvc keep on sending the same messgs. While they're processing full operations on business & student visas. Its exhausting to keep on waiting.

I have 2 questions for my mom's tourist visa. Thank you in advance to those who can help. 1. Her tourist visa expires September 2022, can she still travel to the US from January 2022 to February 2022? 2. We started the visa renewal process. We paid the fee, finished the DS-160, but we didn't see the Interview Waiver Letter and we have not sent anything else to the embassy. We have not set an appointment yet. If she travels to the US next month (Jan 2022), would there be an issue if we already started the visa renewal process?
