US Immigration from Philippines

Good morning everyone!! Congrats to all those in transit people!! I also received the in transit notification! 691 days since filing.

Anyways my question is when should we get documents ready. Not the ds160 stuff but like the affidavit of support. and being on the border line should i go with 2020w2 or should i hold out a bit longer and wait for my 2021w2? I just want to make sure things aren't dated too far in advance and they request more info.

Hello everyone! My early filing for the 5-year rule is going to be on January 25. I have a couple of questions:

• I am in the process of getting a divorce. Should I wait until that is finalized or should just go ahead and do it when the 90-day window opens?
• I am planning to change my name back to my maiden name during this process instead of the divorce, would this be an issue?
• What evidence should I provide in the initial packet and during the interview?

What are the next steps?

This is a far cry from my last post which I had deleted because I was really down in the dumps at the time. My luck and patience finally came through. I received an email from the nvc that they were sending my k1 visa application to the Manila embassy in the Philippines. I texted my fianc e about it but I think she was asleep already. I also forwarded a copy of the email to her. I also advised my lawyer of the development. So now I have to make preparations and so forth but I m very excited and happy. I do realize that the form ds160 has to be filled out and I need to find out if I can help my fianc e do that because she doesn t have a laptop. It will probably be another 3-4 months before everything is said and done but that s fine. My house needs serious cleaning before she gets here. I m really hoping that other k1 visa applicants waiting for the Manila embassy are receiving good news as well and I hope more k1 applicants will get good news.

hello everyone, my fiance recently passed her k1 interview after waiting for two years and all that is left is to enter the us. In her application we have put texas as our residence and port of entry, but we are planning to go to new york first to visit a family before going to texas. will my fiance have any problems entering the US in a different state thats not in her application form?
