US Immigration from Philippines

A friend of mine is trying to get his wife a B-2. She's a former GC holder so shouldn't be a problem but when he tries to schedule the interview he either gets "no appointments available" or a first available in May or June of 2023. Is there some kind of trick to getting one? He paid for the visa at RCBC and that payment is only good for a year.

Hi everyone I was just wondering if there s anyone on this forum may have the same case as I have. I have applied a petition for my unmarried Son who is living in the Phil. His Visa was finally available after waiting for 10 years. NVC has approved all the documents we presented. I got a letter from NVC stating the they are just waiting for the schedule of his interview in the Phil. Embassy. This was in March 2020 unfortunately pandemic hits the world so locked down here and there. Up to now we are still waiting for the schedule of his interview while the NVC keep sending us automatic letter every 30-60 days stating that his case still on and waiting for the schedule for his interview. Is there anyone of you may have the same case or have gotten the schedule of interview yet?

Hello, I hope someone can help me. I found an interview for my mother for her IR5 Visa, it's going to be on March 4, but the latest medical slot is on March 7; what do we do? should we call and ask the SLEC for her medical schedule? Can we request to give her a spot before her interview? Please help. Thank you

adults are all vaccinated

myself (us citizen, but former filipino citizen)
my wife (green card holder, filipino citizen)
my son (9 months old, us citizen)
my mother (us citizen, also a former filipino citizen)

so my mom and I are former filipino citizen, we are considered as balikbayan right? and even with my wife being a filipino citizen with green card. we should be eligible even with our son (us citizen)

can we stay more than 30 days in the philippines?
and we also have a cdc vaccine card, do we need any other document to prove that we are vaccinated?
would it be ideal if i bring our marriage certificate and my son birth certificate?

please kindly help if you have a time, i just wanted to make sure we are good before i book our ticket. we are planning to stay in the philippines for 60-70 days

Almost didn't post this as I'm tired of telling stories about our bad luck, but figured it could be valuable info for anyone finding themselves in similar circumstances.

Anyway, my fianc & her 7-year-old daughter have their visas, CFO certificates, and they had their flights booked to US and were supposed to be on a plane right now. The plan was to fly out from the province into Manila on Thursday - get their Rapid Antigen tests, stay at a hotel for the night, then take a flight from Manila to the US on Friday.

They arrived in Manila, went to the testing lab, got swabbed, stopped for something to eat, then headed to their hotel. As they were walking into the hotel lobby, the email came in from the testing lab with their results - daughter negative, fianc ... positive. I wasn't sure how to proceed. Do I book a quarantine hotel for them? For how long? What happens after that? Do they need to re-test until they get a negative result? How long could this delay their trip? Weeks? Months???

We decided she should inform the the front desk staff at the hotel that she'd just been tested, it came back positive, and so she'd have to cancel her reservation. They requested her to wait outside the hotel and they would have someone come to advise her about her situation. About an hour passed and my fianc wasn't responding to my messages, so I started to get worried. Finally, she contacts me and tells me she's in a Quarantine Facility, and would need to stay there for 7 days.

She and her daughter have their own little room - has A/C, a bathroom area, and a bed (without blankets or pillows). I'm not entirely sure who arranged this - I assume someone from the local government did. Since I wasn't involved in the discussion, I don't know if there was an option to find and pay for their own quarantine arrangements at a designated hotel. I suppose the facility they were placed in is not the worst setup and it's free, so can't complain too much. They provide meals, but you can also order food and items to be delivered there. They told her that after the seven days are complete, she will receive a physician-signed medical certificate that indicates she was quarantined/treated, which she can use to travel in lieu of a negative test result.

She is now at the end of day 2 of quarantine, so 5 days to go before she can finally leave the country. She's hanging in there. She's not feeling ill, just bored. I chat with her as much as possible. Ordered blankets and pillows to be delivered. Hope they arrive tomorrow.
