Hello, Thank you all for the help you gave me this past October - still no interview date. I tried to work it out with my husband, but it's just not possible. We've found that he has a child with a married woman, and a different woman claims she also has a child with him. He is telling me he wants to keep one of our sons, and a selection of other absurdities. I can't trust him to complete the process and get on the plane with the kids, so I'm going to have to file new visas for the kids. I have not filed for naturalization, due to the the children being derivatives of his visa. Can you let me know if my plans are correct? I plan to file visas for the kids and also plan to file for naturalization at about the same time - this next week. I will have a lawyer in the Philippines get the paperwork for sole custody of my children. I'm in Cleveland so I'm hoping the naturalization process will be quick, and if so when I become a citizen, the children's visas will automatically move into a faster category. Please, let me know your thoughts. Thank you all so much.

I am working from some basic information from an attorney, but would appreciate any thoughts you all might have: I was told that upon entry, at the customs station where the K1 is stamped by the Customs Officer, that it is possible to ask for a work permit. If the customs officer grants this, a stamp is made next to the K1 visa in the beneficiaries passport and this allows them to work as the I-765 (A06) is being processed. I was also told that it is good to have the code section of this to present to the customs official to help justify and demonstrate a valid request. Has anyone ever heard of this? What about the applicable code section (yes, I tried google.. ) Thanks!!!

After over 2 years of waiting, our case is in transit to the embassy, received the email this morning. Question, I m a self employed contractor, I haven t filed my taxes for 2021 as of yet, since April 15 is the deadline, will my 2020 tax return suffice for the AOS or will I need to submit 2020? Thanks

My son and I are planning to go home to the Philippines 6 coming June. I am a naturalized citizen and so is my son (K1/K2). My question is, do we both need to get a travel insurance?
