Hi everyone, Is it easy to book an interview appointment after passing the medical examination? How long did you wait before you got interviewed? May I ask when was your flight to US? My mom passed her medical exam and Saint Luke's extension clinic told her that she should be here in the US by Jan 13, 2023 or she will have to re take her physical examination. I am wondering if it's okay to wait for my dad's physical examination to finish and have them both take the interview appointment at the same time. My dad's immunization date is on November 16.

Good day all . I would like to renew an expired Philippines Passport and/or get Dual Citizenship through the SFO Consulate. Can someone provide me with a current list/link of Requirements? Contact phone number with extension? Suggestions? Tips? Just had an unpleasant experience with the Tuguegarao DFA while here in the Philippines visiting family. TIA in advance for your help

On 6/25/2020 at 4:09 AM, Paul & Mary said: Yes - stays at the consulate not the NVC NVC sets the appointment prior to sending it out. You can cancel it online. This thread is a little old, but its on point for us. We started this process back in the fall of 2021, thinking we'd be packed and headed to the US at this point. Several delays later, I think we'll be DQ'd this month. Normally I would be elated, but if the interview is scheduled in say February or early March of 2023, ( 5 month +/-) then the latest she could enter would be Late August or early September. This is the issue. We're here in the Philippines together. If we can postpone the interview to Early April, Aiza can enter after our second wedding anniversary ( (9/19/23) and get a 10 year Green Card. No additional vetting. No additional expense, which will certainly be $1,000 by then. It would be worth the wait, but how to do it? Any thoughts? Thanks.

Greetings all. Tonight we received notification from NVC that we were Documentarily Qualified but there was also a note just below that stated This Case does NOT meet the minimum income requirements to sponsor the intending immigrants. To avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Support Form I-864 from a joint sponsor MAY be submitted. (Emphasis mine) It further reads The Consular Officer will make a decision regarding this requirement at the time of the interview. I m retired, drawing Social Security of $34,824 per my Benefits Letter from Social Security which is Above the $34,687, 125% of HHS Poverty Guidelines. When filling out the I-130 the Auto Calculation confirms that the amount was sufficient. Additionally, but not included on our Submission to USCIS or NVC, my stepchildren will receive from Social Security, Stepchildren Benefits of a total of 85% of my Retirement Benefit in the amount of $29,600. As announced yesterday Social Security Benefits will increase 8.7% and while the minimum income requirements will rise for 2023 the SS COLA has always outpaced the 125% HHS Requirement. Further I ve been in the Philippines for 3 years 5 months and have been prohibited from working. I will work in the USA, part time at a minimum. My wife is a degreed Accountant working for a US Multi National and they are going to try and place her in a US Job once she has received her Visa. Regardless she will work in the USA. What should I do? I don t have another Sponsor and don t believe I need one because I meet the minimum income requirements without an additional sponsor.
