Hi there, decided to post directly on the Ph region a few questions i have.

Long story short,
I-129F filled on 2019
I-129F approved on 2020
NVC Case number on Apr 2020
Manila embassy notification (ok to schedule interview) Apr 2022

Right now, we filled the DS-160 and created the profile on USTRAVELDOCS.COM but we are stuck here.

Questions.

1- According to the information i have gathered from VJ, we are on the right path and the next things to do are.

  • Pay Visa fee
  • Schedule Interview
  • Pay and schedule Medical examination to at least a week prior the interview date.

If this correct?

2- When we go to https://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/ph-niv-bancnetonlinepayment.asp we are given a different reference number every time we load the page(see attachment), is this number really important? or even if is being pay in person at a RCBC branch?
also note that when this number is given, there is no way for us to tell if we are logged into our ustraveldocs account, as it dont show .

3- We are planning to schedule everything for June as is the month that ill be visiting, if i pay the visa fee now, does it expires? if so in how long?

4- Im(petitioner) planning to go to Philippines for 15 days to be with my fiance for the medical examination, the interview and if everything goes ok, the delivery of the actual visa, will this be enough time?.

5- Once the Visa is approved, how long is this good for? (My fiance will like to give a heads-up to her current employer so that they can find and train her replacement)

Thanks for all your help.

Took about an hour and a half for the ceremony, but it was great! Phoenix Court House! About 100 people from 27 different nations for their Citizenship. She is now a full fledged Citizen! From Start to finish, 6 yrs about. We will have our 5th Anniversary this Monday the 13th. Now it's on to the SS department to get her Social Security card updated, and get some pictures for her to file for her US passport. Then we are done done done! LOL

I want to give a shout out to all the wonderful people on Visajourney who have answered my questions over the years! Could not have done without your support and knowledge! Awesome people, you know who you are!!! Peace to all!

I-130 Petitioner is looking to switch jobs. Will this be a problem?

Hi. My husband, a US citizen, is looking to switch jobs. He s currently a 911 operator. He s had the job close to 6 months now, but the stress of the job is really getting too much. This is the current job listed on the I-130 application when we filed in Nov 2022. Now, if he changes jobs, do we need to submit anything to USCIS to note the change in employment? Will this have an impact whatsoever on the application? We re probably overthinking it, but we figured it won t hurt to ask around. Thanks in advance for your insight.

Requesting Expeditious EAD Processing But Not For/With JO

I am new here and have scrubbed the forum for answers and might have just missed it, as my concern pertains to an EAD expedite but without a pending job offer. I would appreciate any advice for financial loss as an expedite reason but for financial obligations overseas.

A quick background - I filed for AOS after 120 days of being in the US. We got married 15 months before that. It was not concurrent filing, by the way. I went back home after we got married, and continued working until I resigned. I visited my husband in July 2022 (we initially planned to do every 6 months of alternate traveling to our respective locations until the petition comes through) but we got anxious about the delay as we plan to begin a family that we decided to apply for AOS in November. The I-130 at this point has not moved for 13 months despite our constant follow ups and a congressional.

My AOS + EAD + AP was filed and I was made to undergo biometrics. I would like to apply for expedite at least for EAD because the money I saved up is almost gone. The thing though is that the financial loss is mainly for my financial obligations back home/overseas. My husband is employed and has provided for me since I got here but we agreed that my financial concerns are my own, and I also would not want to burden him with it. The obligations are not substantial (for some, but to a Php earner like I used to be, IT IS) if taken in on a monthly basis ($800 for loan amortizations and $900 for parental assistance with living conditions and medicines) but they are regular, like clockwork. I have funded this for a year with my savings some of which were also used to pay for half of the AOS fees, my plane ticket, very minimal grocery expenses since I got here (the PHP to USD exchange rate slapped me hard despite these "little expenses") etc. Now that source has dried up.

I wont be able to present a JO as not having an EAD blocks me from even being considered for a job. Even part-times in bookstores and retail shops require an EAD. I was also informed that any virtual work that seems to be popular now is not allowed because even if I get paid through my PH bank account, the work is still done in the US where i'm physically located and that is "working without a permit". I have attended "almost there!!!" interviews like that which didn't push through with an offer (I was short of saying you can hire me and pay me third-country labor rates despite my being in the US, please just hire me! but i guess they'e not that interested, and i digress).

Anyway, I have belabored the point too much. I requested an expedite and received a USCIS email requesting me to fax supporting docs. I just dont want to mess it up and save both of us time because I know there are far more valid expedite reasons that mine. Any advice and tips would be appreciated. Thank you!

Case category switched from f2b to f11 after approved interview.

I might be worrying over nothing. Two days ago, in manila us embassy, the consul told me my visa will be ready in 1-2 weeks and Im currently waiting for my case status to switch from "Ready" to "Issued". The ceac website i used to upload documents to, changed my case category from f2b to f11 which i guess is the result of me telling the consul that my petitioner is a citizen. An f2b applicant in youtube whose parents was naturalized as well, shared that he was required to submit an f2b retention letter so he can get an approval.

However for me, the consul didnt ask for a f2b retention letter nor have given me a 221g paper.

I'm anxious because my case status hasnt been updated since my interview and I saw people on facebook getting their visa issued in just a day.

Do you think my case will get a second review from another consul who will delay the issuing of my visa unless i submit an f2b retention letter to the embassy?
