Side Trip Before Entering the USA

Fingers crossed, my fiancee and I will be traveling from Manila to Seattle in a month or so.

I was thinking of using this trip to allow for visiting Dubai together as she will not be able to travel until AP or AOS (K1 Visa).

My question is: Does anyone think there will be an issue with Philippine Immigration (off loading) provided my fiancee has her K1 visa, and UAE visa, CFO, and we can show continuing travel from UAE to USA?

I am a USC and will be traveling with her.

Also, has anyone been told about having their CFO 'stamped' (a 'blue' stamp)?

Thanks!

Happy Summer 2023!

Hoping to hear what other people s experience doing the waiver I601 for personal belief not doing the medical examination specifically Covid vaccine during Adjustment of Status here in the US.

My sister came here on a J1 visa in March 2019 and had to extend as B2 when the pandemic first hit in March 2020. Took so long to process her B2 so she had lots of time spent with family and friends in the country while waiting and apparently met her now husband a US Citizen. They have been together for almost 2yrs now and just gotten married last December 2022.

Couple months later filed their I-130, I485, I-765, etc.

Before those even got filed, they had her husband s tax returns amended due to some errors in the past so that took even longer process.

She was supposed to mail I-485, I-131,I-765 by March 2023 so the I-693 Medical Examination signed by a civil surgeon was still temporarily waived then but tornado hit their town on the day she was to mail the documents and got mailed instead early April.

Question is, she got an RFE letter asking for the I-693 medical.

Would she still need to submit that but just do the physical exam or can she go ahead and file for the I-601 waiver?

They are opposed to the vaccines since her husband s side has a history of autism for taking those vaccines.

Appreciate all of your inputs.

We received notice that we are document qualified and they would send the file to the embassy for an interview date. This was on May 12th

Question: for those who've received interview dates when were you notified (a) the case was going to the embassy, (b) of your interview date, and (c) the date of your interview.

Thanks,

Mark

Got DQ but also received RFE for not meeting income requirements

Finally received my DQ yesterday and received the email. However when I checked my application I also noticed that I received a RFE saying I do not meet the income requirements. I am a little confused because I overwhelmingly meet the income requirements for my wife. I also provided multiple years of tax transcripts and current pay stubs.

Has anyone experienced this? Is this issue settled at the interview?

thank you all for your assistance.

Interview Expedite Approved for CR1

Hello!

My wife's CR-1 visa case has been DQ since mid February of 2023.

I went ahead and filed for a expedite for her interview at the US Embassy in Manila a few weeks ago, and it was approved by the Embassy!

According to the CEAC it now says our case it at Manila, and when using the Visa Status Check on CEAC it says that our case is ready as of June 20th.

I am now not sure where to go next, scrolling through this forum and other online resources, it seems there are some that say to go ahead and schedule the medical with St Lukes, and I can schedule the interview myself, while others say that I should still sit and wait for the embassy to reach out with the interview date.

I have been using this forum since we started this process, and hopefully with your guidance be able to finish this process soon.

Thank you!
