US Immigration from Netherlands

In September 2020 I sent out all my AOS documents to change my K1 status. I also applied for an EAD and AP and requested a SSN through the USCIS. The original plan was to apply for a SSN 2 weeks after my arrival in the US on 02/27/2020, but then COVID happened and all offices were shut down.

It's been quite some time now and so far there's no progress in my case. By now I'd love to up open a bank account, start working on my credit, get my drivers license and pay taxes together with my husband.

So here is my question: can I apply for a SSN locally so I can get it faster or do I have to wait for the USCIS to provide me a SSN since I already applied for it with them.

I'm a July AOS filer. Got a RFIE in August, to which I replied within the time given. Ever since, my case has been stuck at 'Response To USCIS' Request For Evidence Was Received'. I've only ever reveived code 2 biometrics for my I-765 on January 8th 2021. Still no combo card or bio appointment letter for code 3. I've called the USCIS but they just reassured me I never missed a notice and that because of COVID-19, they sometimes reuse biometrics from other petitions. I was under the impression code 3 is always necessary for I-485, did this change or am I still waiting for my other biometrics letter?

Hi everyone, very happy with all the support from Visajourney! I am almost at the final stage of the CR1 journey, and just booked by ticket for April. Now I assume I have to indicate I am flying on a Visa, and not my passport. But the page to provide the details is not very clear to me. Anyone that can help, otherwise I will try to contact the airline itself. They are asking for Visa number, is this the IV case Number, or Registration number on the Visa?

Once I receive my K-1 visa, I plan to move to the US as soon as possible, get married and file for AOS along with an EAD. However, if I have a job with a non-US company that has me working remotely and I can continue to do so after relocating, would it be legal to do so during the period that I'm waiting for an EAD, since it doesn't involve a US company and I could presumably still be paid in my account back home? The job in question wouldn't allow me to take a leave of absence while awaiting the EAD, given the long expected processing times and the uncertainty about exactly how long it would take.

I have a dutch language birth certificate from Belgium. I have asked them for an international birth certificate and they sent me a digital certificate.

It does not have the names of my parents on it, like it does on my dutch certificate.

Now I am not sure what the appropriate certificate is.

They told me they can have the digital one legalised.

But immigration asks for an long birth certificate and the one they sent me digitally seems so minimal.
