Hi all, I have a question. So I have my I751 interview early next week and my N400 is waiting to be scheduled for an interview. I filed online. I was wondering if for online filers, the case is accessible at the local office, or does NBC print it out and send it to the local office, like they do with paper-printed files? Just trying to prepare myself for a possible combo-interview, even though I am not expecting it. Does anybody know or is this one of the USCIS secrets? And what do you guys think the odds would be for a combo interview?
         Thank you!

Hi everyone, I ve never wrote here before but I m not new to the forum.
I m currently in the K1 process and received the approval letter from USCIS. The letter says that my case is now at the NVC and that if I didn t hear from them within 30 days I had to email them. I did, but I haven t heard back from them yet. Does anyone know how long this process could take? And what the next steps will be.
I ve been apart from my fianc for a year now and it s killing me. I understand that there s a lot more people in this situation and especially due to COVID I need patience, but we started the process in March last year, and I m just curious when we could be able to see each other again. Thanks so much!

Hi, I am hoping you can help answer some of these questions! First time filing taxes in the US and this is confusing!! I entered the US as a resident alien in July 2020 (received SSN in August). My partner (citizen) and I (GC holder) want to file jointly. The first half of 2020, my partner and I both lived in the Netherlands. Based on this situation, I have a few questions: 1) I assume I need to fill out the regular forms? (i.e. not the non-resident alien form) 2) Do I need to establish my status as a permanent resident/immigrant status or my date of immigration on any of the forms? 3) What does this mean for claiming stimulus checks? Based on our 2020 income, we should have been eligible for the second payment, but never received it. We should also qualify for the third installment. Thanks!!!

Hey there I'm trying to file taxes with my husband for the first time. I just got my EAD and social security card. However, Turbotax keeps rejecting it, saying that I'm not in the IRS's records. Here's my situation: - We got married in May 2020- I am currently unemployed and haven't worked a single day in my country of birth in 2020
 - I have filed taxes in my country of birth before, but not for 2020, as I didn't have any income and have been in the US since early March 2020
 - I have a foreign bank account and credit card, both with no money in it

Will filing taxes via mail change anything? Am I doing something wrong? I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to filing taxes and don't understand a lot of tax-related terms so any help would be appreciated...

Hello, I moved here over a year ago (USA, AZ). I have a good income and creditscore. However, I tried to get pre approved by a lender to buy a home, but since I only have 1 ww2 for now, they said they don't want to go forward. The lender said they need 2 w2's. Is this true? I'm very dissapointed. Is there another way or do I really have to wait another year? Home prices are sky rocketing so I don't want to wait too much longer. My wife currently doesn't have a job, so I'm the main bread winner and really want to buy a home (not cash, and not 20% down). Thanks for you help
