US Immigration from Italy

Hello,

Please advice where to post if this is not the correct section.

We are trying to fill out the DS-260 but the section for "City of Birth" needs 3 more characters to match the city on my applicants documents.

Our options seem to be to shorten "San" to "S." or leave the last few letters of the city off?

I am American and my husband, who is Italian, has had a green card since 2011.His green card is expiring in June and he also had his wallet stolen a few months ago with the green card in it.

We want to leave the country for vacation in July and he even wanted to go for short trip out of the country in May.

We are also moving to Florida in June and he may need his documentation in order to get a driver's licence.

I am pretty sure he is eligible to apply for citizenship but we never looked into it.

What are our options?

Would an application for citizenship work?

What about the application for green card renewal?

Assuming that both options would work what are the disadvantages to getting citizenship?

Hi all,

I passed my interview in September and I m still waiting for the oath ceremony to be scheduled. I did choose to change my name during the interview and I know it can makes thing take longer..but 6 months?Is this normal?

Hi again everyone,

I sent all the I-751 paperwork begininng of this week and from the mail tracking, I was notified that everything was delivered to the right USCIS center. What is going to happen now? Am I going to receive a recipt saying that everything was simply received? that the USCIS is going to take on my case? or, I am going to be notified only if some RFE are needed or that my case has been approved?
I have not found any usefull info online and also signing in my personal USCIS account nothing has showed up yet. I'd like to know what to expect in the near future.
