The supporting documents required for application says: "A letter from you employer detailing your position, salary, how long you have been employed, any authorized vacation, and the business purpose, if any, of your U.S. trip." What is the best way to navigate this for a self-employed individual seeking a B2 tourist visa to the US?

Hi, I'm seeking information on behalf of an Indonesian friend who wants to get a B2 visa to visit the US as a tourist, and I have a couple questions: - How much money does the consulate want to see in the applicant's bank account?
- Does it help the applicant if they have an invitation letter and sponsor/guarantor (who can help them financially in case of emergency) in the US, if that sponsor is not a family member? Or is it better if they just apply as a tourist without a sponsor?
Thank you for your guidance

Hi, I m new to visajourney. I m currently in the process of applying for marriage based AOS, and have few questions. So my sponsor, (my US citizen spouse) just landed a new full time job. This will also be his first full time job. He will be making around $60k, which I assume, is enough amount to sponsor me without a joint sponsor. He is going to be a public school teacher, he already got hired, signed the contract and everything. But the job will start in August, and he will probably get paid in Late August or early September. In the last year, he was just working part time because he was finishing college, and wasn t making a lot. For the I-864 form, can we just use a letter from his employer to show proof of employment and salary? I m new to this process so I a little bit confused and I need everyones insights. In the last three years, he only filed taxes for 2020. So for my case, is joint sponsor still required? If that s the case we ll probably use his dad as a joint sponsor. Thank you.
