US Immigration from Dominican Republic

Quick question guys i just found out one of my coworkers under an erroneous advise submitted his N-400 thinking he could do so because of his American born child. I explained to him that he could have only done it early through marriage with a US citizen which is not. He has only been in the country 3 years 8 month which i know his application will get deny do to early filing. My question is if he retracts the application he will still lose his money right. USCIS is not in the business of refunding hence the reason why they would let him complete the whole process including biometrics yesterday lol.

Hi, I'm a US citizen and I petitioned for my stepchildren. Their embassy interview went great and they receive their visas and entered the US with no issues. I paid the Immigrant Fee for the green card to be delivered to our home. Does anyone know how longs it takes to receive the green card in the mail?

My friend's husband has been working for the last 8 months in another country, using a temporary visa he has been diligent about renewing during this time. He is concerned about knowing if he were to take a residential visa there will affect his application for his US residential visa?

This questions is for a friend who is taking care of her grand son in Dom. Rep because the mother of the boy enter to usa with a sb1 after be out of usa for 3 years.

Here is the history: the mother of the boy was in Dom Rep for around 3 years, during that time she had a baby, then applied for a sb1 at the consulate, she left the baby behind with the promise of petition him. The thing is that it is now 4 years and she has not petition the boy and has no came back to see the baby. Her excuse for no go back is that she can not leave to usa, she said she had been ban and can not leave usa.

The grand mother wants that she go back and take care of the boy.

Is that true that if you arrive with a sb1 you can not leave usa for so many years?

I just got approved on march 9, I will like to know if the waiting time depends on what embassy process my case . For example mine will be New Hampshire. ???
