  1. My friend's husband has been working for the last 8 months in another country, using a temporary visa he has been diligent about renewing during this time. He is concerned about knowing if he were to take a residential visa there will affect his application for his US residential visa?
  2. Understood, and what you are saying makes perfect sense. That doesn't exclude my point though. It would need to be part of the coordination process once the appointment was made, to see about getting them access at the other embassy. I would have to think that they can get access online in their consular network and it is not a package of actual paper being sent that can get lost etc. but I can easily be wrong
  3. Yes, my point was from DR to COL was an example that they don't need a residence visa to travel which is what the previous poster was concerned about.
  4. That's an assumption. An example being; Someone based in DR would be expected to go to Santo Domingo for their interview, but could travel to Bogota, Colombia as a tourist the same way someone from the USA can with Visa upon Arrival if there was an appointment available.
