We submitted our paperwork on 12/29/2020. We received our NOA 1 in April. Nothing since. I m starting to think that those of us who submitted paperwork during the COVID winter and then the Texas storms are just screwed. I ve seen various people who submitted their paperwork months after us already get their NOA2 and beyond.

Anyone else in our situation? Anyone able to shed some light on this? Wondering what to do. Very frustrated with no movement on this and feeling helpless.

Thanks.

how do I correct a mistake on form already filed

My wife is petitioning her mother. I filed a form I-130 electronically and when I printed out the submitted form I realized I had made a small (but significant) mistake. In the section 4 other information I mistakenly put 1947 when it should have been 1944, the rest of the information is fine. Even on section 2 my biographic information I entered the correct date of birth for my mother in law.

We sent a message trough the message center on my account and the answer was not very helpful suggesting that we upload a request to the adjudicator with some documents to back up the request throwing ourselves to the mercy of the adjudicator, and wait for a response:

"If the adjudicating officer does not grant your request, you may wish to file a new I-130 petition. If you do, you must wait until your present petition has been adjudicated. Alternatively, you could withdraw your current petition now, and file a new I-130 petition."

We finally got through on a phone call and, again were not very helpful, they provided me with a link (That I had to write down) to possibly be able to make modifications to. The link did not work. I am wondering if anybody knows this link or can indicate a path to remedy this situation

Thank you

Petitioner's birth certificate question (CR1 - Bogota)

Hello, I have a bit of a multilayered question for those in the know. I (natural-born USC) and my wife (Colombian national) are, along with her children (my stepchildren), awaiting our interview appointment assignment at the Bogota Embassy for a CR1 (plus CR2s for the kiddos) after receiving the notice that NVC was transmitting the cases to the Bogota Embassy. She has asked me about obtaining three original copies of my (the petitioner) birth certificate to carry to the interview. I used my passport as proof of my status/domicile in the US. I did submit my birth certificate with the I-130 paperwork, though.

I am planning to attend the interview with her and the kids on their interview day.

My first question is: If I submitted my passport for proof of status/domicile for the NVC part of the process, do I need to worry about asking for additional original copies of my birth certificate to carry to the interview(s)?

My second question is: If one original copy of my birth certificate was used for each I-130 application, would I need to only bring the original and three copies, the original only, copies only, or...?

Third (bonus) question, if anyone can provide insight: Is there any way to request that my wife's interview and the kiddos' interviews happen on the same day?

Thank you in advance for any insight, and if I happen to have left out any information critical to answer the question(s) above, please let me know and I will gladly provide it. Cheers!

Now that my fianc has her fianc visa, as the petitioner, am I able to sponsor her aunt and uncle in Colombia for a tourist visa for them to come visit us? They raised my fianc , so they're pretty much her parents so to speak. The uncle is employed, the aunt is a school teacher, and they jointly own their home. Anything I can do for them?

I have been on the AOS process for more than a year and I am travelling for a week to Colombia to see my mom by the end of September. My passport expires in November and I am not sure if the US government will allow me back (even though I have permission to travel and am in the middle of AOS), because my passport expires in less than 6 months.
