It looks like you guys submitted your paperwork just like 10 days or so before we submitted ours. But I do see that they processed some even into December already. Have you heard anything about being able to schedule a consulate interview?

No we're still waiting for NOAA 2, it seems like they are working in November but they do not process in order of submission, it's kind of all over the place, My friend submitted at the same time as me and he received a RFIE.

What is RFIE? We’re also processing in Texas. And we’re trying to get an interview in Bogota. I’m just hopeful my fiancé would be here at the states by the first part of September. But it does seem that they’re processing them in November now. So I’m hopeful at least get a NOAA 2 by the end of this month.

I think September will be challenging but it's not impossible. I expect we'll be processed sometime this month and then it will take some time to get to the embassy in Bogota and for them to enable the interview, it will have to be in Bogota.

From what I read on here it seems like Bogota would have the application within 2 to 3 days of being approved. Because I’m here it says you can call the embassy within two days of being approved to schedule the interview. And then interviews are taking about 4 to 6 weeks. So I’m hopeful that we would have some sort of an approval by June 1, and that would could put an interview sometime in August. Things seemed to have really slowed down this year which is unfortunate. We went this route because it would be faster. And in the long run, save money from me. Flying back-and-forth to Columbia every other week. I’m a flight attendant and I get cheap flights but it still costly. But we had another couple friends of ours. They got married in Columbia Last October and theirs has already been approved and she’s living in the states now. So this seems to have been taking longer. Anyway. Good luck with everything. If you hear anything, feel free to share information with me. And vice versa.

I'm not sure if you are looking at the process correctly. Once USCIS approves the application it will be sent to the Department of State, this takes about a month but can take longer for some people. From there DOS will send to the Embassy. Then they will send a welcome email and you will have to apply for the visa and do the interview. If you look at other timelines from Bogota it usually takes people at least 3 months from when they get approved by USCIS to when they have their interviews.
The applications were getting processed extremely fast last year, unfortunately they have slowed down but are still faster than they have been in years.

It looks like we could be getting close. They seem to be processing applications right around November 20 this week. So hopefully in the next week to two for you and us.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
