Hello VJ! I hold a GC that I obtained last August. I am Canadian and returning to the US for work shortly. We just sent off my wife's GC application over a month ago and received confirmation that it is processing. Is it unwise to have her come visit me in the USA if she does not have a job ready for her? Has anyone here had experience with their spouse visiting them in the US while their Visa application is still processing/ Thank you!

Hi Everyone I am in the process of prepping for my ROC app late this year. As we all know, the country got hit hard by Covid during 2020. We are really cautious people so we have barely gone out, even to local places. Even now . Our families live really far away so we have not been able to visit them either. As a result, I only have so many selfies, compared to great photos outdoor taken in 2019 (when I arrived). On top of that, the pandemic sort of severed my ability to go out and make friends in the country. I just started working late 2020 so I have not known anyone well enough beside my spouse. As far as I am concerned, USCIS asks for affidavits from 2 friends. So with all the background information, can you please help me answer these two question: 1/Will it be a bit bad if USCIS sees good photos taken in 2019 and then only selfies after that? Our other evidence is pretty strong. 2/Can we just ask two friends of my spouse for affidavit or either of 2 must be my friend? Thanks a lot in advance!

We got our rescheduled interview with Montreal today. May 26th. But the earliest medical exam appointment we could get was May 20th. The doctor said we should be ok still for timing but if not they'll still interview and wait for them. Of course I'd rather have everything we need so no delays. He said it's common right now cause of the backlog. Anyone else have their medical come through after the interview? If so what happened? Did you get a 221g? And if so how long did it take to finish processing and you heard back from the consulate?
