I m an IV applicant and have submitted all my online documents. I have had an issue uploading files properly, though with the gracious help from the people on this page I have had success, thank you again. I recently received a message from the NVC that I m required to Gather the documents below and send them to us in one (1) envelope or email.

is this a normal request?

Hi! I read we need a police criminal record check for the K1 interview - there are a few different types of police checks. Does anyone know which one to get and what that process is like?

I am in Canada and Montreal embassy is super backed up, such that wait times are in the order of 9 months to more than a year.

Is it possible to request an interview in another country that is not backlogged? Seems logical to enable sharing of workloads between embassies...

it looks like May has been hard on a lot of people from around the world in the IR-1 and CR-1 category. It looks like some countries didn t even do IL/CR-1 IL s this month I figured it would be a good idea to have a place where this information was stored.

Date IL received - Consulate or Embassy Name - DQ Date - Interview Date

My fiance is in Canada and legally changed his last name quite a few years ago. All of his documentation has his new last name including his birth certificate. Does he need to provide his name change paperwork? On the application, I did put his previous last name as it asked for any other names. Thanks in advance!
