Hi all, I m eligible to apply for citizenship under the 3 year rule. However, the online application history asks about trips outside of the US for the last 5 years. How do I answer this? Five years is technically not applicable since I didn t have legal PR status until the date I entered on my spousal GC. I don t want to fudge up the application and get the dreaded RFE for a poorly worded question.

I am a Canadian citizen. I had a temporary green card about 2 years ago when I went with the K1-visa route. My marriage did not work out and I left US about 2 years ago, never returned. I have a trip planned for Las Vegas in a month and I am just wondering if I need to apply for any special visa to enter US again for the trip. thank you for any input.

My husbands interview is on Monday January 9th. We have our documents prepared and are hoping for the utmost best for us and all that are interviewed that day. Can someone please help me figure out how to see the status change on the CEAC website. Is it by the documents we submitted where it says "ACCEPTED"? or somewhere else. We just want to make sure we look in the right place and see our status has changed. Thanks for your help. Is anyone else there Monday Jan 9th as well?

Happy New Year everyone. I am the intending immigrant and will be using my income source and assets when my husband files the I-864. I am currently transitioning jobs from my full time work based here in Ontario (I work at a public library) to be an independent contractor for a few special libraries in the States. (I know I can't use income from my current full-time work as it won't continue). I have been doing the independent contract work for the past year on a part time basis but plan to make it full time after I cross. My question is, what do I need to prove my current contracting work and income on the I-864? I have a W-8 (Foreign contractor) from the company I started with in the past year. I also have invoices and receipts of monies earned. Additionally, it will show up on my 2022 tax return as "additional income". I'm just trying to get my ducks in a row and gathering documentation/proof. Thank you!
