FYI. Our visa got denied too. They said we dont have a valid relationship.

We been together for 1.5 years. Ton of evidence that I did not even get asked for.

Trying to keep the application is Rio at the moment. I dont want to start again.

Im so sorry for your denial. Try to get in contact with your local senator/congressman and take it from there. All the best.

I am working with my lawyer on this now to try to get the petition to stay in Rio.

I dont want this to get back sent to the US. I been reading that it takes even longer.

Is that true ?

correct. it added a 4 month delay to my case and that was from NVC sending it back, it had not even reached the consulate.

in my case my laweyr could not do anything. Get in touch with your congressman / senator asap! just look for the immigration link on their website.

From what I remember you did go with him right? Even though they thought you were fake?

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Hi all,

My fiancee went for her interview today and the officer gave a 221g requesting a DNA from both of us and our child.Is this considered Ap? and would the petition be sent back to the US?

The letter the CO gave to her said we should contact them after the tests are done,does anyone have any idea how this works?

I have mountains of evidence. This petition needs to stay in RJ and my lawyer is working on it.

Yes, I was at the interview just not in the room.

My fiance messed up the questions cause he was just blabbering around. Its ok, I forgive him, we all make mistakes.

It was Denied 12/15/09 my senators office in MD could not get another interview. The USCIS just got the case back Friday. Marc Ellis was recommended to me here on VJ. I am getting everything together for him now. He has helped a lot of people on here. Good luck to you and yours. Did they say why it was denied?
