Bill,

I also wanted to add, and please correct me if I am wrong here, because you have been active here a lot longer than I have, but by my count there are only 4 K1 petitions still outstanding for April, and 13 K1 petitions outstanding for May.

Knowing that OsLoraTamm is still active here, I assume that the 13 petitions are still active and awaiting adjudication, at least hers is. But, my belief is that the 4 outstanding for April are probably abandoned, or people forgot to update if they are still active here. I cant recall any April filers speaking out in this thread in the recent past (because if I waited that long I would be POSTAL). But I havent been here for as long as you. What is your feeling on this?

And to any April filers: Please dont take offense that I dont know or remember you. If you are still here and the data is correct, just let me know!

I think Mel and Syl are from april and have been waiting for months on an rfe answer. I don't know of many from may except poor MCKT:), most probably have gotten at least an rfe by now.

I haven't even gotten a touch yet which is what makes all the july and now august approvals seem weird to me, oh well it's another day at vsc ...

Virgil do the ref thing and change the address of your SO......I got a touch today but the interesting thing was that I could here this older lady rifling through papers to look for something then changed the address for Oscar but then said Oh you are past 6 months{???????}Duh......so I do not know if the call produced the touch or if they decided to look at our case....Not sure Mirla seems to think it is the latter.....I pray they found us...she also said 1/3 of the case workers are out on leave at one time this time of year......unfortunately for the first week of June folks we must of been assigned to a person with lots of time to burn off for vacation before the end of the year.........Lora

... so maybe january. *sigh*

I agree. You would be going postal.

Of the 4 open April petitions, 1 is definitely still active (Mel & Syl), 1 is definitely dead since they have not been on the site since 11-14 (John & Sheila), 1 is impossible to tell since they do not have any timeline or profile that I can find (Celia & John - How does that happen?), and 1 is a maybe (Tu & Chris / madmcc22555) no RFE's on timeline and no recent posts but last on the site 12-7.

In every month there seems to be one or two that take forever to be completed. And surprisingly there are also a significant number of members who never find their way to this VSC forum. So lack of participation here does not necesarily mean that an old petition has been abandoned.

In any case, there are active participants in this forum that filed in April or May and are still waiting so obviously those months are still "open".

Question: What is the ban for an overstayed visa waiver program? A friend from Germany overstayed in the US almost two years ago and she wants to attend her cousin's wedding....She asked me if there is any ban but I don't know anything about it........

If she overstayed by more than 180 days she will have a 3 year ban. If she overstayed by more than one year she will have a 10 year ban. If she overstayed by less than 180 days she won't have a ban but she won't be able to use the VWP again and will have to apply for a visa. Her chances of getting one after an overstay are slim though.

Hope this helps.

I actually feel a little sick to my stomach this morning..........I got a second touch dated 12/14/2007...................I think this is called "couldtheyfinallybeworkingonmycaseitis".......Oh Please make me real sick with it today...............

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE RECENT APPROVALS!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEAHHHHHHHHHHHH GO VSC GOOOOOOOOOOO

Lora,

We got two touches two days in a row..then got our approval 10 days later...lets hope they get crackin' on yours and get it out before this weekend is here. You are all still in my prayers...we are stuck at NVC...WAITING AGAIN...but I DID get a letter from them yesterday that stated they have our petition and it would be forwarded "within a week". It actually gave a time commitment. We all know one week can mean.."when we feel like getting to it!! " heheheeh...Anyways..good luck to you all...

With that aside...you are my family and support...

Im sorry to report that my father was officially diagnosed with the rare dementia of Pick's Disease yesterday...and they give an estimate that ha has 4-5 years left. (he's only 71 currently) I was advised to lock away ANYTHING that can be used as a weapon, that he could become psychotic and become violent...to call 911 if that happens to ensure my mothers, mine and his safety.... :crying: :crying:   :help: My dad is the sweetest, softest man I know...but I do see signs of this impending diagnosis.

I share this...because i have no support here other than you people...Im asking for your prayers for my parents as they endure this hard time in their lives. I just wish Amr was here... Soon, god willing....
