Okay

One more quick little question, I am going to be sending in the petition tomorrow for the i-129 F, but my question is this, Can I be turned down because of my credit history? Its been more than 5 years since my credit was really bad, but over the last 5 years I have paid my bills on time and am slowly paying off old debts, but could we be turned down for the K1 visa if I have a good payment history now, and am paying off the old debts monthly?

Kind Regards,

Shawna & Chris

I don't think your credit history has any bearing on immigration issues. As long as you can prove you make 125% of the poverty level and are able to adequately support your SO is all they are concerned with.

Correct me if I am wrong someone?

Credit history not an issue with immigration.

Thank god coz I would be denied way before I even file for my I-129F.

Good luck with your case, now that you got that cleared up.

Your credit history has nothing to do with your petiton. Regardless, it is good to know that you are working hard to restore your credit.

I don't see why credit will be an issue as long as you have proof of the 125% support for your fiance(e).

But, gees if credit would affect how fast they process, I would be flying :-D with almost 800 credit score and I'm only 21.
