ok - the corniest I ever did was with an old boyfriend - we had just met and were still in the 'enamoured' stage . . . we went as the cover illustration from a Harlequin Romance novel! We 'posed' as the wench and pirate with the 'title' between us '"Love on the High Seas!"(suspended on fishing line from around my neck, hehehe). We won a prize!

Other great ideas I have seen - 6 friends went as a six-pack of beer - they all had 'caps', brown robes wrapped around them and made a cardboard box frame for themselves.

Another - a woman dressed up with lots and lots of yellow padlocks all over her and went with three big guys in football uniforms. . . they were "Goldilocks and the 3 Bears" (Chicago)

One Hallowe'en themed party asked people to come as anything from the Titanic - and people came soaking wet, as well as dressed like champagne bottles, etc as well as ones wearing the predictable life preservers and as fish.

i havent dressed up for halloween since i was about 8 yrs old, its not a big thing in UK. I won't be dressing up lol....... halloween was always just for the kids back home, no parents dressed up......i'm too old to be dressin up now!!

At our church's Trunk or Treat last year we had the Pirates of the Caribeean theme.

Hubby tried his hand at sewing for the first time and made his jacket and shirts for him and the boys. I made my son's vest, my bandanna and the belt I'm wearing.

We've been so busy this year that we haven't had the chance to make costumes. So we're re-doing our Pirates theme.
