We're so young

My fiance is American and we're about to get married soon convinced that that's what we want to do. Believing that we've found our true soulmate.

I'm only 21 and he's soon to be 24 but disregarding our age our marriage is truly serious. We've been together for 18 months and we both agree that we would have waited a while with getting married if the curcumstances wasn't the way the are with me being from Denmark and so on. But we still really wish to say I DO so all the comlications with a LDR is over!

What concerns me is that I am not sure how the interviewer or the USCIS all in all is going to look at our situation, with us being so young and all... I'm afraid we can't convince them that we are sincere!!!!!

Please give me some advice!! Anybody else out there being young and married?????

OUR JOURNEY SO FAR

December 2005 - Met for the first time at a christmas party

Year of 2006 - I'm traveling back and forth several times to visit

October-December 2006 - I stay in New York for 3 months on tourist visa

February 2007 - Brandon flies out to Denmark to visit and meet my family

March-June 2007 - I stay in New York for 3 months on tourist visa

October 2007 - I go to New York to stay for another 3 months.......but on

November 10th 2007 - Brandon asks me to marry him!!! ENGAGED!!!!

November 21st 2007 - MARRIED!!!!!!

December 26th 2007 - Sent off I-130 and AOS package

January 7th 2008 - NOA's received

January 14th 2008 - Biometrics letter received

January 19th 2008 - RFE received, on form I-864

January 25th 2008 - Biometrics appointment

February 13th 2008 - RFE sent back

March 14th 2008 - EAD Card production ordered

March 15th 2008 - EAD card received

March 17th 2008 - SSN ordered

March 26th 2008 - SSN received

March 29th 2008 - INTERVIEW LETTER RECEIVED

May 6th 2008 - INTERVIEW - APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm 23 and Michael is going to be 22 in a couple of weeks...I have an interview in 1 month. A lot of things are worrying me....except the age :)))

USCIS (and later on, the consulate) is more often concerned about the validity of the relationship, and how genuine it is. As long as you can provide evidence that you have a bonafide relationship, then your age will not be taken into account. :)

10/09/2010: NOA1 Received via mail.

10/22/2010: Status Changed Online "Request for evidence" It was for Biometrics.

10/25/2010: Request for evidence recieved "Biometrics Notice".

11/18/2010: Biometrics date ==> 11:00AM. Biometrics was taken On time.

When we applied for the K-1 I was 21 and he was 28. They never mentioned age. ;) Try not to worry about it.

When my husband and I decided to marry, he was 21 and I was 25 - we're now 24 and 28 - he's more mature than I am though :P If it's really what you want to do, and you are serious about the love and commitment, age doesn't really matter for much.

Don't let the age bother you, as long as your relationship is true & genuine, everything is :thumbs:

My husband was 20 when we got married... 19 when we applied for the k1.

I'm 24 and my fiance is 23. Neither of us are concerned. You have to think about marriages in the US, I would say the majority of people getting married here are in their 20s. Most of my friends from highschool are married, have been married, or are engaged!
