Comments : Went ok, but the immigration officer was not the nicest in the bunch. Asked my fiance why he's coming to the US, and to whom. Reminded him he has 90days to marry and entered I-94 into passport, that's it :)

Consulate Review: Warsaw, Poland
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : January 29, 2007
Embassy Review : My fiancee arrived at 7:30 to the consulate, and they let him in immediately. He went through the normal security screening and was given a number and asked to wait. Somewhere down the line he paid the $100 fee, and sat down and waited... and waited... and waited over 3 hours! I thought this was more of an in out thing. He sat as the numbers passed him by. He was called up the the window, spoke to a gentlemen and was asked the normal questions:
1. When did we meet? (asked twice)
2. How long do we know each other?
3. When was the last time we saw each other? (asked twice)
4. Do I know his family, who have I met while vacationing in Poland?
5. Has he met my family?
6. Do I know the birthdays of his family members?
7. And stated about 2 times to remind him he's under oath... little weird.

At the end, he didn't say anything, just have a good day and handed him a piece of paper and that he'll get his passport back by DHL mail within 5 business days. Never really said "you are approved", so he took the paper and left. But being the nervous chick that I am, I sent him back in to ask where the "brown envelope" everyone writes about was. While he was going back, I called the Warsaw consulate myself to see what the deal was. They confirmed that everything he needed would be sent by DHL, including all he needed for POE & directions. Whew! So in 2 business days he received the DHL package with passport & brown envelope, all is good!

A bit stressful, but hey, it's all worth it to have the love of my life next to me in a week

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
