I have a question for those who already got their interview letter ,

What does it say on the letter for you all to bring to the interview ?

I already have everything that could proof our marriage is the real thing ,

pics

life insurance

my military id

medical insurance

car insurance

general power of attorney

emails from when we met online up to now

my husbands deployment orders

joint bank account statements

letters from my hubby from Iraq

custom declarations for the boxes I send to my hubby in Iraq

letters and postcards from his family for me and my daughter

if I am missing something please let me know .

But I just wondered what besides the items to proof your relationship and then of course our passports and I-94's , uscis asks you to bring .

Thanks ,

Silvia

In addition to what you've already listed, the letter states that you should bring in both your and your husbands birth certificate, your marriage certificate (certified copy), any divorce decrees or death certificates for previous marriages, information supporting Affidavit of support for sponsor if not already submitted, and the interview letter. It also states to bring originals and copies of everything.... otherwise they will keep the original.

Sounds like you're in good shape for an interview.

Hi all. Another update for me - Interview date, October 16, Tuesday at 1pm.

Congrats IYA :dance::dance:

After posting, my husband checked the mail and we got our interview letter.

Please update in the timeline. Our interview date is Sept. 27 @ 1:30.:dance::dance:

Now we have a date to look forward to!

Congrats LovinJA

May the interviews keep coming

Thanks.... I hope this is a good sign for everyone! I am happy with the timeline thus far

All,

I just read a post regarding an Atlanta Interview Experience. They indicated everything went well, but they didn't have the Civil Surgeon to sign off on the TB Skin Test, so they have to wait for a RFE and send in the sealed envelope from the Civil Surgeon.

We had a civil surgeon fill out the vaccination supplement, and they didn't mention getting a TB test, and my husband didn't get one in his examination for the visa. We haven't received a RFE for it, but after reading the post, I am thinking we should go ahead and schedule an appt. for my husband to have one before the interview, and take the sealed envelope to the interview in case they ask. I called around, and he can get one for $25. So, he has an appt. tomorrow at 11..... We don't want any unnecessary delays in getting approved.

I recommend the same course of action for anyone else that didn't get the TB Test.

LovinJA

I am unsure of the date they recieved my AOS/EAD. I live in Chicago and mailed it first class mail. I guess I will not know when they received it until I get my NOA1. I put x's in the spot instead of a date yet.

Question?

Can anyone who has filed in July before the increase, that has a biometrics appointment, but doesn't have their NOA1 yet- find their case on the USCIS site??

We sent ours out the 24th of July and they got it 26th of July... I have yet seen my check cashed, nor a notice of action which will very soon set her back a semester starting college studies due to the fact that we refuse to pay the crazy international student tuition. We are waiting patiently for that notice of action, which is her ticket to take on my residence and pay 1/3 the price per credit. Also, an interesting note... she filed her DS-230 II at the embassy stating that she wanted a social security number... and that step seemed to just dissapear... another one of our unknowns here? (Thats a topic for another forum tho! :) )

Keep us updated on when someone gets any contact back from USCIS!

I`ve sent my I485 package on July 24,07.They received it on July 25 and I got my my biometric appointment on August 14. No NOA though.I`m schedueld for the biometrics on September7.

Five interview dates and no CSC transfers so far... I feel so nervous. Three people with NOA1 dates after my husband's have had interviews scheduled, and he hasn't had any touches since the Biometrics appointment. I'm worried that something is wrong with our case, like an RFE, even though we haven't received anything by mail or e-mail, or seen any indications online. Based on recent threads and posts, I think it's safe to say that online status updates have slowed to a crawl, possibly/probably due to an overload of cases. And although our mail service is pretty good, something could always go wrong when you least expect it. So how would someone even know something is wrong if 1) it's not reflected in the online case status and 2) nothing has arrived by mail?

I know I'm absolutely within common waiting times, but I'm just worried. Hopefully everything is alright. Seeing absolutely no change whatsoever on the online case status isn't helping! I guess the most we can all do is hang in there.

I think they may have had an overload of people filing before the fee increase too. What I would like to see is the fee increase put to good use and process everything faster!

Maybe by the time we all have to lift conditions we will be able to file everything electronically into a central database and processing will be extremely fast?

Completed the biometrics today. It was pretty easy and painless beside all the driving and waiting. I let a review there: http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/ (Charlotte NC) so it can easy be accessed for future members.

One useful thing: I saw on a previous post that a person got asked for her marriage license since none of her IDs had her married name, so I brought mine and I think it was a very good idea, because when I offered it the welcoming person said that yes it was needed. It doesn't matter for guys, but for girls it sure does. :) It doesn't hurt to have that extra paper.

I remembered thanks to Jup1ter that the A number was on the NOA (& biometric notice as a matter of fact), so that was easy to find. Filled in a paper, waited, got all my fingerprints taken. The agent asked me if I liked my picture and there we go, I was done, ready to drive back home.

Now I'll just wait until we're transfered or get an interview date and of course for the EAD.

Don't hesitate if you have specific questions. :)

08.2006: Entered with a B-2 visa.

07.06.07: Civil Wedding

07.17.2008 AOS approved with interview. It took 367 Days!

Interview dates are completely dependant on how busy the specific local office happens to be based on the number of potential interviews and Adjudicators.
