Hi everyone,

Adam (US/NYC resident and sponsor) and I, Carolina (resident in Spain, Madrid) filed our K1 visa on September 15th 2025 and got notified on September 17th 2025 of its reception at the Texas office.

We never got the NO1 to NO2 notification from the Texas Office we were expecting in January.

We have had no news from USCIS since September 17th of 2025. No petition of amendment, fingerprints or anything has been requested from their side. Just silence.

We found this website (visa journey) in January 2026 and we have been checking the waiting period statistics every week since then.

Last week statistics showed that September 9th 2025 applicants were receiving their NO1 to NO2 notification. This week it jumped all the way back to August 1st. It had never jumped back more than a month. Anyone knows how this data charts work?

Does anyone follow this statistics as well and know if they are reliable?  Is anyone out there in the same situation? Waiting for a supposedly 10 month visa that is now 16 months or more? Is everyone's K-1 also being dailed one month...every month?

Every month since January the statistics have been pushing the waiting period a month further. This uncertainty makes short term and long term professional, family and personal planning stressful and impossible.

Thanks to everyone out there helping each other in this silent process.

Kind regards,

Adam and Caro

To my knowledge, the statistics here on VJ are based on the members that fill out their timelines.  Unfortunately, not all members utilize that function, so the group that makes up the statistics can be small.  That being said, it looks like USCIS's posted processing time estimate is about 10 months for an I129F, so you are still in the window and hopefully will see something soon.

Good Luck!

Note that what was filed was an I-129f petition for fiancée of US Citizen.  When the petition is approved, it is the foreign fiancée that will be invited to apply for a K1 visa.

A Warning to Green Card Holders About Voting

I know the wait is hard but I would say that there is credibility in the estimated timelines that VJ provides. Try it if not already.I file my i129-F ( am the petitioner) on August 2, 2025 and got approved (NOA2) on March 25, 2026. So if you filed in September, 2025, I trust yours will be approved this April or May 2026 barring any RFEs. I got an RFE but was for biometrics and after completion, my NOA2 was approved the following week I had gone through the biometric processes. I may be wrong though!

Unfortunately, it is pretty impossible to do any type of planning for the future with this process. It's just a loooooong waiting game. 😕
The stats from Visajourney are not official. They are just an average of those who have completed the timelines on this website.
