  1. Am not very "old" member on this platform, however, responses to my concerns about these immigration processes have been valuable. I think most contributors have ideas about the processes that are worth noting even if you disagree. You may pitch your own ideas against what is said here and weigh the odds. That may help to make informed choices. I will want to reiterate that contributors here do not have it all. What they say may not be the absolute truth yet it is worth giving it a thought. I may be wrong though. lol! Wishing all the best in this journey. oops! I just realized that I have issues too (lol). My beneficiary's I-797 (notice of action (approval for K-1)) was sent to NVC on April 15, 2026. We are yet to hear anything from NVC for the next steps. Is it too early to put in a public inquiry? Your thoughts and opinions are always welcome.
  2. Great! Thanks Ed and Jaycel.
  3. Thanks a bunch, TBoneTX. Your input is valuable.
  4. I am the petitioner and just received an update that our K-1 has been forwarded to NVC. However, I undesrtand when the case is ready, NVC with serve the interview notice via email. Given that the I-129F package has only the petitioner's email address, is there an avenue to notify NVC or update the application to include the beneficiary's email address? Your VJ community input are always appreciated.
  5. I know the wait is hard but I would say that there is credibility in the estimated timelines that VJ provides. Try it if not already.I file my i129-F ( am the petitioner) on August 2, 2025 and got approved (NOA2) on March 25, 2026. So if you filed in September, 2025, I trust yours will be approved this April or May 2026 barring any RFEs. I got an RFE but was for biometrics and after completion, my NOA2 was approved the following week I had gone through the biometric processes. I may be wrong though!
  6. I just google and found the following statement. I may be wrong but we are in the same boat and wondering just as you. "The Invoice ID Number is often missing from the initial NVC Welcome Letter because the case may not be formally processed yet, or the letter is solely meant to confirm receipt and transfer of the petition. Invoice IDs are frequently sent in a separate, subsequent email or require a public inquiry."
  7. Received mine today and was wondering what would happened if delays (not from our end) happen that may impact the expiration date. Thanks for sharing, Pushbrk!
  8. For clarification purposes: NOTE: I-130 and I-129F are for two separate individuals (i.e., 130 for my biological sister and 129F for soon to-be-wife) RULE OF THUMB: As you go through your biographical data during the biometric process, please do not forget to check every information vividly and cease the opportunity to correct stuffs in the system as necessary. After all these years of citizenship, I found out that my "country of birth" was still the same as my "country of citizenship". So see the biometric exercise as a blessing than anything else. I may be wrong. lol!
  9. Just an update: Had my biometrics today as a petitioner. Was Code 5 -----> Fingerprint right hand (index and middle finger) photo and signature . What is interesting: 1.) Met the lady that did the biometrics at the bus stop today. For some reason, I took a closer look at her. During the process, the question came up if she was the person I probably saw at the bus stop and she answered in the affirmative. She then said you are doing this biometrics because you are going to be "responsible soon and that is why you are here and they are not". Thought that was interesting. 2.} Few hours later after the biometrics, my old petition (I-130 Petition for Alien Relative, filed about 4-yrs ago) got updated with today's date saying it is still under processing. However, the form I-129F (Petition for Alien Fiancee) which was the reason for the biometrics is still at NOA1. huh! So am still wating but if you are scheduled for bio code 5, don't sweat it. Appears to be an easy process. The "wait" time is what makes me jittery. Let's keep hoping and hoping till all get done. If anyone has similar experiences (I-129F and or I-130}, you can add to the story to keep the reading public occupied as we wait. lol!
  10. Hopefully so. Some of us go into some form of a little "frenzy", especially in these days and times. I may be wrong. lol! Thanks "cat" though. Do appreciate your input.
  11. Yes, I am the petitioner. Should have included that, Sorry!
  12. We are awaiting for our NOA2 and I just received Form i-797C to appear at a support center for biometrics for further acction(s) on my application. Has anyone experienced this istuation before? And if so, what are some of the expectations, if any? Your input are always welcome.
  13. Given the current shutdown, I envisage that K-1 case reviews among others would be impacted. Has anyone experience such situations? Just being curious so I don't expect too much from USCIS.
