But wasn't the intent on these extremist activists to block ICE, but try to let others through?  So if ICE tried to drive around, she was going to let them by?  All will come out, but the actions of these extremists are over-the-top when they try to impede law enforcement (illegal) and they are misplaced as it is the congress members that need to feel the protest (a little secret, ICE agents cannot change the laws).  Whatever, we shall see how this turns out and how political Ellison and Walz can make it.

BTW, look at the folks ICE is going after in Minnesota.  Do you want these folks in your neighborhood?

Protesting = extremist activists. That's a stretch.

According this article, I count 18 people there. ~3000 ICE agents going after 18 people is an enormous waste of taxpayer funds. No one ever argues the point of deporting hardened criminals, going door to door though? That's not enforcement, even less so forcing themselves in, as they don't have judicial warrants. We're acting like these hardened criminals are hiding under floorboards or something but they're not, they know where they are.

From TRAC: "48,377 out of 65,735—or 73.6% held in ICE detention have no criminal conviction according to data current as of November 30, 2025. Many of those convicted committed only minor offenses, including traffic violations." They're also pulling agents from cases in ATF, FBI, HSI, DEA actually making real and bigger cases of real criminals, but sure, let's focus on Jose who's lived here for 20+ years and has a life established here with kids doing work that no other American is willing to do.

"Worst of the worst" if you say it repeatedly enough doesn't make it true. Political theater.

How many are illegally present in the US?  How many were given the chance to self deport?

So Jose who's been here doubled the time you have for example, has a stable job, pays taxes, has a wife, and kids should be deported under the basis of the "worst of the worst"? Is that the "worst of the worst"?

Irrelevant if Jose is not even supposed to be in the country in the first place.  Based on what you posted, Jose has no legal basis to be here.  How is that so hard to understand.....especially for someone who is going through the LEGAL process?

Irrelevant that someone has lived here longer than you have? Have a US citizen wife? Have US citizen kids? Pays taxes? Possibly owns a home?, but sure keep the immigration law broken cause it fits the political theater.

I assume you believe all DACA'ers should be deported too?

Then where's the numbers? Prove to me that more than 5000 people in Minneapolis in a span of these few weeks were the "worst of the worst"

Oh no, at worst a civil penalty I'm clutching my pearls...and that's only for those entry without inspection. So jaywalking.

Undocumented presence alone isn't a crime as well.

The only thing that is relevant is if they are illegally present in the US.

So, you think the LEGAL process should just be ignored as long as a person can set foot across the border?

Oh you know immigration is much more complicated than just that. Especially with the stories we've seen here on VJ.
