Hi,jan 20 2010 my i130 was approved . immigration judge dismissed the deportation process.. My Lawyer did not file for i485 just took money and disappeared. second layer i give him money order for$1,140 his secretary took money orders and left gone.My mistake didn't file my name on money order.
Since then, I'm still married to the same wife, have a daughter who is 15 years old. We separated and lived our own lives.I pay regular child support. I didn't file a new i485  course and got tired of immigration .... So now this situation and i'm hiring a good lawyer to file for adjustment of status. My country does not exist anymore. The system has changed 3 times. I'm not in their citizen register (stateless ) . I have an original expired passport with entry point i94 since march 1988.
15 years ago I was arrested for driving with a suspended license and did not know it was suspended ,the next day I fixed it. I need advice. So do I really need a good layer... ?

Even a good lawyer will struggle to find a legal basis for you to adjust status. Married but not living together does not meet the prerequisites for applying for  AOS

On what basis?

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

It is unfortunate that your lawyer(s?) were not honest, but the responsibility was yours to finish the process/adjust status in a timely manner.  1988 to 2010 is 22 years, and now 15 years since 2010 - that is a lot of time.

You are most probably not stateless, being lost in administrative mess is not it.  Do you have access to your birth certificate?  Reach out to the diplomatic mission that now represent your place of birth/hometown.  They will be able to assist you.

How old are the children?  Are they US citizens?

You have yet to mention a basis for adjustment

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
