K-1 Fiancée visa application & travel ban

Hi everyone and thanks for reading. My fiancée has a Venezuelan passport but she’s lived in Colombia for the last 6 years. We have met each other 3 times in the past 1 year and just recently got engaged. Reading details of the visa ban and seeing Venezuela included as one of the partially banned countries and I’m in a strong dilemma as to whether to still proceed with K-1 visa application or get married in Colombia and just file I-130. Pros and cons for both. Heard K-1 is generally faster but also apparently people in banned countries are getting rejected because of the travel ban. 
Any advice or feedback would be greatly appreciated and is there anyone on this forum that has recently applied or got a denial or approval for K-1 visa in any of the fully or partially banned countries?? I’m hearing different things on K-1 exempt or non exempt as part of travel ban and not sure what to believe.

In this case you'd definitely want spousal visa as that's exempt from the ban.

I see no exemption for K-1s in the actual ban wording.

There is none, unsure where OP is reading that petitions got through but it's not happening. 

 

OP, your only choices here are spousal or wait out the ban.
