Hi everyone!

As the title suggests, I am looking for advice on which courier service to use to mail our I-751 package next week. It's pretty thick, so I'll be using a box to mail it.

Which service is best?

I have had issues with USPS in receiving mail from USCIS, so I am feeling distrustful of them lately.

Thank you in advance!

FedEx to the physical address is our preferred method. Have received text notifications of application acceptance with receipt numbers within a week of delivery both times we made submissions to USCIS via FedEx

We used USPS Priority Mail for AOS and FedEx for I-751. USPS Priority Mail is historically cheaper than FedEx but FedEx has new options that are competitive with USPS called FedEx OneRate. Anecdotally, FedEx was a bit faster in terms of getting a case number and receipt sent back. Here is the standard FedEx pricing from my zip code (Oakland) to Phoenix lockbox:

This standard pricing allows you to use almost any packaging, which is not particularly useful if you're sending documents. You can save a bundle by clicking on the "One Rate" tab (see below).

And then the rates go down from $66 down to $23 for 2-day service using a medium box. OneRate only allows a subset of FedEx boxes and envelopes (small, medium, large, envelope).

We chose Deliver by 5 PM FedEx 2Day OneRate Medium Box but the package was delivered in 2 days at 9:30am anyway so there was no need to pay extra for the 10:30am guarantee. We affixed our own label with the ATTN I-751 (BOX 21200) in addition to the FedEx label.

We received a receipt number a week after the package arrived at which point our check was also cashed.

Thank you!! This is so helpful!

6 of 1 or half a dozen of the other.

They generally all get there. (Occasionally all of them will loose or damage a shipment. It's rare but it happens

They all offer proof of delivery (that's the one you want for your own sanity)

None of them offer insurance for anything but the value of the content (it's paper so that may be $0.25) Resulting damages is always excluded (read the fine print).

Only exception might be the value of the check or the money order (expect to pay additional insurance for that if you are really concerned)
