The familiar hidden hand behind today's #NoKings protests

What she didn't say: The California Democratic Party is itself organizing today's protests — from Orange County to Oakland — with the full institutional weight of the Democratic machine, and the Democratic National Committee is playing a critical role behind the scenes in protests across the country from California to Florida.

SoCal conservative Republican here.   I have been though countless riots/protests in California, etc.  I was literally on gladiator status back in '92 and have physical scars to I could show for it to this day. The protest today are literally small time nothing by LA riot standards.  Gladiator in '92 could walk freely and even argue face to face with them In 2025.  More cars have been burned over winning basketball games. I drove through downtown LA tonight with wife and daughter.  Never felt safer in my life.  I would have considered it inconceivable that I could ever agree with Gavin Newscum about anything.  BUT, deploying our troops on our own streets against this fuc@%√ up city really, viscerally, infuriates me.  Troops on our own streets for nothing.  I even support all of the ICE raids except that they are doing them wrong.

More to show how ineffective the California Democrat leadership is I suppose.  Another factor is of course lessons learned from the 2020 Summer of Love particularly in Portland.  I have been out-of-touch for a week, but wasn't the NG deployed to protect federal property in LA?  I remember a federal building in Portlandia being overtaken, or severely damaged.

Well assuming they do not want a Constitutional Monrch,  the power is largely symbolic. Rubber stamping.

 

The anti Monarch party went quiet in the UK when Trump forst came in, I may have made a comment on a thread about OK you do not want Monarchy, you would rather have a Trump style President?
