I-129F Proof of Evidence Nicknames

I just submitted our Visa Packet & in our proof of evidence I have a text from my fiance where he refers to me as his wife. I also have him in my phone as “Hubby” can they deny our petition because of that? They are just nicknames!

I just submitted the 129-F & it hasn’t even arrived at the facility yet. Is there any chance to cancel it before they process?

you can attempt to withdraw the petition by contacting USCIS.

but pretty sure it would make filing it again in the future more difficult.

 What??? Cutesy nicknames but not married?? How can this be a problem? At the very most, an RFE/I later to clarify. I wouldn’t slow anything down, at the most, a simple clarification.

 

 

  The biggie is, are you officially married or not, with documentation, sounds like not. My beneficiary calls me ‘husband’ all the time, zero worries for me. I didn’t sent copies of those texts though.

 

  Anyway, I wouldn’t slow anything if sent, clarification at the most.

Thank you for the different perspectives on this. I decided to cancel the check since I just mailed it out and it has not been delivered to Texas PO Box. The payment hasn’t been processed. The petition will get rejected due to no payment. Do they scan the petition into the system when they reject them without payment? Any chance they will return it to me? 

 

I tried to intercept the mail through usps.com but I am having issues with the website. 
 

I don’t want to give USCIS any reason to reject our petition for some minor ridiculous bs.
 

I am going to mail out the petition again this Monday. I will expedite for $50.

I couldn't find anything on if the petition gets scanned into the system or not
if it does just get rejected for the lack of filing fee, they should just send your application back to you with the reasoning of why it was rejected

Wrong, and dangerous even to suggest.  We've seen rejection happen multiple times here, over the years.

I have an NOA1 number for both the first and second packet I turned in. The first packet will get rejected because I turned in a check that I canceled before they could process it. If I have an NOA1 number does that mean they scanned my packet into the system?

the NOA1 just confirms that they have received the petition.

it probably wont get scanned into the system until they begin the review process. which will probably take a few months to get to yours based on the current processing time
