More than two years after filing for AOS

My wife and I filed for her AOS in December 2021, still nothing. When she calls USCIS for status updates they tell her "it's within the normal processing time, you need to continue to wait." We've contacted a representative to look into our case, still nothing.

Anyone else having this issue? My wife is about frustrated and doesn't want to reapply for her work and travel permits when they expire at the end of the year. Any ideas of what we can do to resolve this? I've heard that since we've been married for two years that, if and when she gets her green card, that it will be the permanent one; not sure how true it is.  I hope that there is someone on here who's been in this situation and can give insight.

What does the USCIS processing times website say when you input your details into it?

https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

If you are still within normal processing times, all you can do is renew EAD/AP and wait it out.

If you are approved without interview or interviewed for I485 after your 2year wedding anniversary, you'll get a 10 year PR card, not a 2year CPR card.

PS. A govn representative is not eligible to help unless you are WELL outside of normal processing times AND have already placed an outside of normal processing times enquiry ON THE WEBSITE which has gone beyond the alotted time for that enquiry too.

The website above will tell you WHEN you are eligible to place an enquiry.

Calling is not necessary nor is it the established form of contact for such an enquiry.

And 1 more thing, as a reciprocal courtesy to others and to the website:

:time:

That's important.

Thanks for the reply, but I don't know the PR and CPR card, can you explain what they are?

PR and CPR card refers to the green card (Permanent Resident, or Conditional Permanent Resident).  In your case it would be the 10yr GC since you have been married over 2 years.

I would start with following up with their office. Pester them if you need to.

My representative helped me tremendously when I reached out to them. Albeit they responded right away.

They can do it, and USCIS will respond to their inquiry.
