Dear community of Visa Journey.

I'm a citizen of US. I am married to Greece citizen. We submitted I-130 for my husband 6 months ago and it is currently pending.

I live in Athens with my husband for last 3 months. I work for a US based company and work remotely. They agreed on working remotely 3 months ago and I moved into Greece to be with my husband.

My job (big corporation) is now asking for me to work from US office otherwise I will lose my job.

Based on my research, it seems like I qualify for expedite request for our I-130 application or Direct Consular Filing known as DCF. I'm not sure what steps to take next.

I need to give my company decision within 10days and I want to know if I can do anything about this situation without losing my job.

I just want to be with my husband for the time being(i'm pregnant) but i can't afford the job.

I would be ok if we can move to US together and I work from the office in the US.

If anyone has any suggestion or similar experience and can share with me, i would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you.

You could try for an expedite but not DCF. Theoretically there is the possibility of withdrawing your I 130 and applying for DCF but many Consulates will not accept that.

What is your status in Greece?

Seems like you have to make a choice -- being with your husband or going back to the US to keep your job.  DCF is no longer an option once you file the I-130 with USCIS.  As mentioned above, you could try withdrawing the I-130, then requesting DCF from the consulate.  But there is always the chance that the consulate will not accept the DCF request.  In that case, you'll have to start from scratch with a new USCIS filing, losing the 6 months you already waited.  You have some tough choices to make.

Try requesting an expedite from USCIS first.  Note that even if the expedite request is approved, it could still take months before your husband can complete the visa process.  After I-130 approval, there's still the NVC review, visa medical, and consulate interview.  Apart from the USCIS expedite, you'll need to request expedite from NVC and the consulate as well.

I don't see a solution except to keep your job.  The other possibilities mentioned have only remote chances of speeding anything up.  Life is hard sometimes.  The spouse immigration process can be rough.  Your three months together in Greece is far more than most members here can even hope for.
