Congratulations on the interview status !! I’m so happy for you!!! 🤗🤗 Your field office is basically where your case’s interview will be conducted. Where did you file from? What city/state?

Yes, if filing under 3 year rule

I filed under the 3 year rule and my husband didn’t need to come with me!

He only would have needed to go if we were having a combo interview for my pending I751 which ended up being waived/cancelled anyway! 🤷🏽‍♀️

While for majority of cases the US citizen spouse would not be asked to participate in N-400 interview, it does happen in some cases. Even with I-751 approved. After all, citizenship under 3 year rule is based on marriage to US citizen. Even mere presence of US citizens spouse in the waiting area is another check box in IOs head confirming the marriage is going fine and reduces the chance of additional scrutiny.

I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Yeah same.  My husband applied for the 5yrs. He’s been a resident for over 10yrs. Idk why he took so long to apply.  Apparently the process is getting slow again :(    I hope we hear something soon.

From online lawyer I heard the theory that the ones who waited a while to apply for N-400 may be subjected for extra checks, simply because of being a resident for a long time. E.g. checks for crimes, false claims to US citizenship etc. I'm not sure if it's true through.

Oh wow....how interesting. Yes, I've been a resident since 2008. Well, I have had no run in with the law so I guess I must try to find patience.
