Watch out...this topic is already up to two pages, so there could still be fireworks if someone doesn't bother to read the first post! :jest:

I'm Just Kidding! :)

They really should make that topic a sticky.

Hello everyone. This is my introduction post. I have been lurking on this site for a few weeks and used many of the resources to complete my K1 application. I filed in early July and have received NOA1, so just more waiting.

Glad I made the application before the fee increases, but not looking forward to the huge increases in AOS fees as well. Who wouldn't want to pay 150% or more in fee increases for a possible 20% increase in processing times over two years. It's incredible with all the taxes and hidden taxes and everything else that those of us who are citizens have to pay upwards of $2300 in fees just to petition for a visa and adjust status for an alien fiancee.

Now that I am registered here I hope to offer all the rest of you encouragement and advice if possible. Hope all of us found the right person, for the right reasons, and we are happy for a nice long time.

Cost me over $1500 just to do biometrics. Travel expenses tho!

I'm afraid to add up what the process from the "get go" to getting GC was if you include everything.

Worth every penny tho as we are one happy family so far and then some!

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! Filled out the timeline for my fiancee so far and the automated guess on when they will review my case seems to keep getting pushed back.

With the recent massive increase in prices I am sure there must be a flood of people who have been filing to make the deadline and swamping the system with even more of a backlog, but what can we do?
