I looked on USCIS website and it says one application will be done in 2 weeks and the other 2 months.  they are in the PH and i'm in the USA.  Can I let the first application sit for 2 months until the other gets approved?  also do I have to go to the interviews or can my wife the mother of the children just go?  I know when I did her visa I went because we were having a baby but they said I didn't need to come.

Also what is the process after the I-130 is approved?  USCIS customer service is #######.  and there is no live agent to answer any questions.

Yes it can sit up to year. If more than a year, before a  year has elapsed, the beneficiary must inform NVC that the beneficiary is still interested in an immigration visa.

Their mother can go.

NVC processing. See https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-1-submit-a-petition.html

When each beneficiary files DS-260 during NVC processing they should each indicate that they prefer to travel with each other and request that their interviews be scheduled same day, preferably at rhe same time, or at least back to back.

If the interviews are not scheduled the same day, I would not attempt to reschedule.

If the visas are issued on different days, I would not wait for the the other visa to be issued, because that which is issued can be canceled.

It is a waste of time calling USCIS for this. If you want a live person, call USCIS, then say “info pass”.

Since both I-130’s list the other applicant they will be put together. I’ve the same situation. 4 mo, 3 mo and 4 wks.

VJ History indicates differently.  They all could be at different USCIS service centers.  They will be sent to NVC as they are approved.  This happens quite often.  It is best to hold each case at NVC (don't pay fees or submit DS-260) until all cases have reached that point.  Then contact NVC (using DOS case numbers) and the consulate to request all be interviewed together.

We have seen numerous cases in which the first case was scheduled for an interview while lagging cases were months from USCIS approval because the applicant submitted fees and a DS-260.  That can be avoided by holding first cases at NVC until they are all there.

I wish😬. Each I 130 stands alone and is processed separately. Linking is a task done “ manually” on request if sometimes by an observant USCIS worker.   Good advice already about getting the identified together at the NVC stage once both have been sent there

I guess putting the names of the other applicants on the 130 is sort of pointless. Have to love government efficiency. Thanks for the info.
