I spent way too much time repotting plants today. Then I had to plant some plants outside and then water everything. Needless to say I gave up doing much else. Good thing the Hillbilly smoked a pork butt yesterday. Leftovers for the win.

Spent all day dealing with a dumb bureaucratic issue,  we man.

Lunch was 2 ham-&-cheese sandwiches, ingest we man.

A siesta was semi-effective, partially zzz we man.

Din-din was Modified Tuna Glop, ingest we man.

 

Party with the rubias tonight, cavort we man.

Plan to up-clean our disastrous casa office on Tuesday, intended for today man.

And that was/is our thrilling Monday, report we man.

The husband's first jury duty was quite uneventful, he waited for about an hour and then was sent home, which is a good thing because someone jammed some items down the toilets and flooded the courthouse. He was very disappointed as he was excited to participate.

 

We decided to take the weekend to go antiquing. He was excited to find some LPs and after a long search I finally found the item I was looking for. A few months back an item was posted to the store's social media of a piece of porcelain and I never got a response so I wanted to go see it myself. Didn't know if it was still there, but it was hidden way back on a shelf. Basically my great grandfather's profession was master carpentry and antiques, and as a result my great grandmother had passed numerous pieces down the line, especially when she traveled the world. This piece is Japanese from the Meiji era by a particular maker. They made many different designs but I only know one other person that has something that matches my own. This piece at the store matched exactly and was pristine, and I was very excited see the kanji was marked too!

I thought for a second there I was reading something one of my kids would have texted me from school when you said someone flushed stuff down the toilets!  🤣

 

While brain rotting, I saw a TikTok of a girl who had her grandmother's mail - a recently issued jury summons - but her grandmother had passed 4 YEARS previously.  Just further highlights the systems are never up to date nor do agencies communicate!

And we keep getting mail for residents who haven't lived in this casa for well over a Manycade, si man.

 

In fact, we got a jury summons for one, small world man.  We took the time to call the courthouse, where they corrected the record and in fact determined that this prior resident was over Many years old, exempt from being summoned man.

Thrilling Tuesday report, see man:

 

Lunch was Many (2+2) Costco ready-to-eat hard-boiled eggs, ingest we man.

 

Proceeded with cleanup of bureaucratic issue mentioned Monday, not so bad now man.

The PJC was out-wiped from her casa-cleaning and postponed our meeting, oh well man.

 

For months (years?), our casa office has needed decluttering, dig this man:

To get from one side of the room to the other, we must sit on our office chair and swing it around, egad man.

 

The goals are to (1) generally declutter and (B) make room for mini-fridge*, want to do by Sunday** man.

     *bought at an earlier ES and cluttering the garage, financially savvy we man

     **hopefully with help from Ecu handyman, if available man

 

We have attacked the upper layer of floor stuff and a couple of piles of papers so far, only Many% done man.

- We first folded up all the plastic bags on the floor, probably Many (2+1) Manyzen man.

- We then attacked piles of dusty papers, recycle shred save for filing man.

- Unwrinkled pages with one blank side went into the printer, good for casual printouts man.

- We found (so far) paid utility & credit-card bills from Many (2+2+2+1) years ago, egad man.

- We have found enough office supplies to stock a small store, no kidding and much more there man.

- Miu tried to help by sitting on stacks of paper, Man's Best Paperweight miu man.

 

This job is far more tolerable when wearing disposable gloves, easier/cleaner manipulation man.

We will shred the old utility bills here and take thicker stuff to UPS for a shredding fee***, conclude we man.

     ***by the pound but with AAA Many% discount, worth it to us man

Our desk is piled as high as the floor and will be next, everything slides off of it man.

 

An attempted siesta failed utterly, give up early we man.

Din-din was Tuna Glop, ingest we man.

 

Finally left casa after Many-p.m. news to run errands, errant we man.

We found Many (2x2x2 +2) jars of gefilte fish on deep closeout at one supermarket****, tasty lunches man.

     ****all eagerly bought by us, financially savvy we man

 

We shall now return to our regularly scheduled clean-officing, Clean for Gene we man.

 

Wednesday is Two Guys eve, Two Guys man.

Ex-Mrs.-T-B. suggests, and we agree, that Mini-B. should have a larger bed/bedroom & own bath, si man.

With this will go responsibility, hopefully not to be shirked by wee man man.

E.g., we will NOT change his bed linens for him, no man.

We don't think that we can get everything transferred by this Sunday, maybe do it over 2 weeks man.

We shall spring the idea on him and hopefully gain cooperation, si man.

 

No party with the rubias tonight, Clean for Gene we man.

And that was/is our thrilling Tuesday, report we man.
