Thrilling Friday-on-Saturday non-ES report, see man:

Miu was so quiescent that she didn't even leave her miu-tower for miu-breakfast, quiescent miu man.

We wanted to laze like her, cloudy rainy weather man.

We considered but skipped a second ES within range of the first, good choice man.

We passed a decent Mexican restaurant on the way back and considered stopping but didn't, si and no man.

This was in view of prospective free lunch, financially savvy we man.

Free lunch was baked whitefish (overspiced), ham/lentil soup, something we forgot, a weird pasta that looked like white lentils, and (again) sugar-free vanilla pudding, ingest we man.

It was well below average but free, justify financially savvy we man man.

Didn't sell anything, :ranting:  man.

Did get offer for the cheapest thing listed, consummate probably on Sunday man.

Took fotos of kitchen stuff et al. to post, see below man.

Busied self out-cleaning kitchen cabinets/drawers, quite a contrast man.

Cabinets were straightforward enough except for too many plastic containers, conclude we man.

Drawers were filled with long-expired candy & medicine, some Many (2x2x2 +2) years old man.  :girlwerewolf2xn:

They were also filled with even more neatly folded supermarket bags, how many is enough man.

We found pill bottles filled with coins, as yet untallied man.

We filled almost an entire lawn/leaf bag with kitchen garbage, staggering man.

During this time, Mama T-B. phoned to ream us about falling behind on vacating by month-end, :girlwerewolf2xn:  man.

We told her that part of this was her not green-lighting disposal of her closeted clothes, si man.

Mama T-B. said it was because we're colorblind and can't pick out what she wants to keep, si man.

We said that she shouldn't have passed Grandpa T-B.'s colorblindness gene on to us, so there man.

Mama T-B. then tried to tell us which Many (2+2) items to save from one closet rack, egad man.

This was a predictable disaster, si and :girlwerewolf2xn: man.

First she wanted something "light green," good luck with that man.

Then she wanted something "lavender," what the dickens is that man.

She told us to pull the potential items from the racks and foto them, confirmation man.

By process of elimination, we managed to pull the "green" item correctly, not that color at ALL man.

The "lavender" item took Many (2+2) -- si man, Many (2+2) -- attempts, :girlwerewolf2xn: man.

We argued that the supposedly "lavender" item was really light blue, :ranting: we man.

We told her that if she'd called it light blue initially, we'd have picked it initially, :ranting: we man.

We again raised the true point that all this was her fault for passing along Grandpa T-B.'s gene, si man.

It then took Many (2+1) -- si man, Many (2+1) -- attempts to gain Mama T-B.'s clearance to donate everything else on that one closet rack, :girlwerewolf2xn: man.

It filled Many (2+2+1) -- si man, Many (2+2+1) -- lawn/leaf bags, many coats sweaters dusters man.

It took 2 trips with the flatbed dolly to get the Many bags to the T-B.-mobile, si man.

During this time, Uncle T-B. called, had Rx to be picked up man.

We told him that we were too spent to do it until the weekend, truthfully exhausted we man.

Uncle T-B. was understanding, not one more thing we could do we man.

Returned to casa at sunset, of course no lights left on inside man.

Indignantly frantic miu accosted us, Where Were You All Day and Where's My Lunch Daddy man.

We serviced miu, mollify miu we man.

We showered, praise the Great Sky-Chimp for the relief man.

Din-din (at Many [2x2x2 +1] p.m.) was Modified Tuna Glop, ingest we man.

Posted new listings online, post we man.

Got 2 nibbles right away, bodes well man.

Miu then demanded games of feather-roller and Dangly Pole, awake miu man.

No party with the rubias tonight, no cavort we man.

On Saturday, we must make donation-drops at 2 different outlets, don't activate IRS form Many2ManyMany we man.

We must procure more boxes from hardware store, desperately under-boxed we man.

Then we must send Mama T-B. fotos of all other closet racks, looking forward to THAT we man.

Must entertain prospective buyers, hopeful we man.

Must up-clean, tangled hangers strewn everywhere and kitchen detritus a disaster man.

We will never get this all done by July Many'st, no man.

Mama T-B. will Many00% go Many00% aysheep, more certain than death and taxes man.

Someone please shoot us NOW, increasingly necessary man.

And that was/is our thrilling Friday, report we man.

Scintillating Saturday repartee, yawn man.

-------

Thrilling Saturday report, see man:

Miu was highly motivated to be served miu-breakfast but then became quiescent, satiated miu man.

We ran Many (2+2+1) errands before going to Mama T-B.'s old casa, including man:

-- drop Many (2+1) bags of clothes at one donation place, donate we man

-- drop 2 bags of clothes at second donation place, re-donate we man

-- collect more boxes from hardware store, go out for boxing we man

-- visit Post Office, go postal we man

-- retrieve Uncle T-B.'s Rx, retrieve we man

Free lunch was chicken piccata, green bean salad, spinach, dinner roll, and sugared pound cake, ingest we man.

Minor drama occurred between us and some South Asianettes, but small purchase was con$ummated, $i man.

Another small purchase was con$ummated much more straightforwardly, $i man.

A couple of potentially larger purchases fell through, :ranting:  man.

We spent more time trying to enable Mama T-B. to select clothes, see Thrilling Friday-on-Saturday report man.

We finally managed to extract what she wanted, Many fotos e-mailed and discussed man.

We started getting irked but then put ourself in her shoes, big sigh man.

Even if she never gets a chance to wear them again (which is likely, sigh man), we have them for her, si man.

Mama T-B. then gave us the green light to out-clear the #2 closet of clothes, now partially completed man.

There's some stylish stuff from years past in there, note we man.

We remember Mama T-B.'s having worn some items, dim but remembered man.

We had to focus on approaching the job clinically and not emotionally, periodic lump-throated we man.

We stuffed Many (2+1) more lawn/leaf bags with clothes, more to go man.

We found a Many'rd donation place very nearby, save us a longer drive man.

We delivered Uncle T-B.'s Rx, his casa at least Many00 degrees inside man.  :girlwerewolf2xn:

Din-din was Subway*, ingested back in Mama T-B.'s old crib we man.

*WUOC + gift card, financially savvy we man

We then focused on clearing floor paths for Sunday's move-furnituring, to be helped by Ecu handyman man.

We threw out Many hangers and took even more back to our casa for recycling, responsible we man.

Got back to casa before dark, imagine that man.

Miu demanded the following, see man:

-- din-din, Why Weren't You Here Earlier Daddy man

-- miu-treats, Why Weren't You Here Earlier Daddy man

-- usual afternoon serving of kibble, Why Weren't You Here Earlier Daddy man

-- thorough brushing, Why Weren't You Here Earlier Daddy man

-- play, Why Weren't You Here Earlier Daddy man

Miu got the first item first and the others after our shower, out-pitted we man.

No party with the rubias tonight, no cavort we man.

Early Sunday caucus with Ecu handyman (EH) for the following, see man:

-- move furniture down to purchasers, dismantle/reassemble EH man.

-- take down window & shower curtains, purchaser for the former man

-- perhaps wrap & box some heavy kitchen items, unsure whether or how much we man

-- transport boxes back to our casa & carry upstairs, strong EH man

-- estimate whether Mama T-B.'s remaining office desk will fit in Mini-B.'s old room, estimate EH man

-- probably other stuff that we will forget all about until EH is gone, preemptive :bonk: man.

We then return to Mama T-B.'s casa for a small sale and to host another potential purchaser, return we man.

Try to bag more clothes/items for donation, unsure of timing/stamina we man.

Find time/energy for usual Sunday chores, we can't continue like this for much longer man.

And that was/is our thrilling Saturday, report we man.

Thrilling Sunday-on-Monday report, see man:

We zzz'd inadequately and poorly yet again, need zzz we man.

Breakfast was 2 hard-boiled eggs, ingest we man.

Remembered to hang Mama T-B.'s selected clothing in Mini-B.'s former closet, well-hung we man.

Met Ecu handyman (EH) at Mama T-B.'s old casa.

EH moved 2 furniture items to purchasers elsewhere in building, helpful EH man.

EH took down curtains and fixed lamps in Mama T-B.'s place, helpful EH man.

EH went with us to our casa and moved heavy boxes upstairs, helpful EH man.

It was opportune that we returned to our casa, si and see why man.

We heard distress miuing from Mini-B.'s former closet, hear miuing we man.

Miu had somehow dashed into closet unnoticed during its brief open time, opportune miu man.

Had we stayed out till dark as usual, miu would have been in big trouble, troubled miu man.

We discussed this issue with miu with uncertain results, discuss uncertainly we man.

We paid EH and lunched with him at Popeye's*, ingest we and EH man.

     *WUOC, financially savvy we man

Updated online listings, sales man.

Returned to Mama T-B.'s place, return like MacArthur we man.

Sold 2 furnitures, big relief man.

Sold promised item plus many extras, fair 2-way deal man.

Din-din was Tuna Glop, ingest we man.

Started our sole LL, Thread Laundress we man.

We left out one sock, :ranting: we man but we warshed it in the sink and got it baked with everything else, si man.

We attempted a siesta but it was disastrous, not even close man.

Our back & hip were screaming at us, disjointed we man.

We gave up in disgust when the alarm rang, disgusted we man.

Conquered the LL and dished/de-dished the warsher, domestic we man.

Spent much time updating online listings and actually posting descriptions of remaining items in Nextdoor chat, hope for results we man.

Someone will certainly text us at only Many a.m., :ranting: and fit only for Walmarting time man.

Ex-Mrs.-T-B. phoned us from Guayaquil, got there from Cuenca ex-she & wee man man.

She wants us to go with her to sell some land north of town on July Many'st, no way man.

She threatened not to bring us our requested Ecu purchases if we did not, call ex-she man's bluff we man.

She seems to be re-gravitating toward us now that she is minus the Rojo, expected by we man man.

No party with the rubias tonight, no man.

Hopefully some zzz tonight despite Many-a.m. bedtime and heartless NextDoor respondents, :girlwerewolf2xn: man.

Thrilling (?) Monday-on-Tuesday report, see man:

Began zzz-ing after Many a.m. and still awoke early, :ranting: and :girlwerewolf2xn: we man.

We were up creating a new Nextdoor post that drew zero interest, :girlwerewolf2xn: man.

Groggy as Hades all day, no caffeination helped man.

Made it to Mama T-B.'s old casa in time for chicas to get their furniture, bye comfortable seating man.

Nothing else happened after that, no man.

Free lunch was chicken cheese broccoli, chicken noodle soup, yams, and cooked baby carrots, ingest we and We Yam What We Yam What's Up Doc man.

We up-cleaned most of a floor, little worthless stuff for donation man.

We also bagged 2 more bags from Mama T-B.'s #2 closet, really packed man.

Deposited Mama T-B.'s recent proceeds into bank, deposit we man.

Made first donation-drop, no receipt received by e-mail man.  :ranting:

Went to second donation site, forgot they're closed on Mondays we man.  :ranting:

This will hose our daily donation schedule, don't want to active IRS Form Many2ManyMany man.

Went to hardware store for more boxes, no boxes man.  :ranting:

On drive back to casa, Mama T-B. called, call senior she man we man man.

She wanted to pick clothes to save from #1 closet, inevitable man.

It took over an hour to never find one blouse that she wanted in a one-foot target space, :girlwerewolf2xn: man.

We ended up taking yet more fotos of "left side, top, first Many'rd/second Many'rd...," fruitless man.

Mama T-B. complains that she can't see anything, everything too crowded together man.

We see no solution to that except to take out Many blouses at a time to fotograph, fruitless man.

We around-puttered with more cleaning, dabble we man.

No comfortable place to sit, folding chairs only man.

Our back and hip were yelling at us, oh great man.

Free din-din was a chicken breast/wing, green beans, and mac/cheese, ingest we man.

If we were designing the Universe, chickens would have no bones, ridiculous to fight them man.

Finally up-gave and headed to see Mama T-B., request senior she man man.

We increased storage/performance on her phone, empty caches we man.

We fell asleep Many (2+1) -- si man, Many (2+1) -- times during this process, drop phone we man.

Mama T-B. kept us long enough to make a real siesta uncertain, figure thus we man.

At our casa, fed/treated/kibbled needy miu, mandatory service for miu man.

Headed directly for siesta, no shower man.

Coughing, outside noise, and back/hip precluded siesta for second consecutive night, :girlwerewolf2xn: man.

Read Mama T-B. various important mail pieces, more work for us man.

Used A.I. to create last-ditch Nextdoor post, try to sell all that garbage man.

Got one request for fotos but no follow-up, si and no man.

We'll have to donate stuff or sell it from our casa, sigh man.

We haven't arranged for movers yet, might need as many as Many of them man.

Interesting side note about color blindness.  I was on training for work for 3 months.  One of my classmates, a chemical engineer by training, was color blind.  We looked at a lot of well logs which are essentially a lot of squiggly lines of various colors plotted on grids, which tell us about the subsurface.  Anyway, I'd lean over and tell him which was red and which was magenta - 2 commonly used colors but impossible for him to distinguish without assistance.  One of our other classmates asked "why do you always tell him which curve is which?".  My friend said "because I'm colorblind.".  Our classmate was befuddled and replied "well...what color is grass to you, then?" 🤦‍♀️ My friend was like "uhhh...I don't know what green looks like but to me, grass is orange I guess."

This person was worried about what color grass was to a red-green colorblind person, meanwhile my concern was how in the heck did a chemical engineer complete titrations where you have to note the most subtle of color changes, especially with things like potassium permanganate in fluid, which, is pink and one he couldn't detect.  Anyway...

I know this whole process has been a bit painful for you, but, take solace in knowing Mama T-B was at least given some control over the process.  My grandfather passed away a couple of years ago and his wish was to ensure my grandmother was moved from the apartment they had been in because it was unhealthy.  OK, fine, my mom and 2 out of the 3  of her brothers would honor that.  However, my one uncle and his wife basically packed everything up and moved it without Ma because she was at the hospital with my granddad.  Ma was pretty distraught after Pops passed because she didn't get to move her way and didn't get to choose what got moved when and where and in her mind, a piece of my granddad was at the old place.  She was never given the opportunity to come to terms with any of it and felt bullied.

At least you are affording Mama T-B some choice and dignity.  It's physically tough and mentally challenging, but you will sleep better (with the help of HSM) after it's all over, knowing you were able to give her that much.

Helped my husband get through his colonoscopy. He decided to do a three day mini liquid fast to make things easier. I told him how much people hate the prep. He said he'd be just fine. Well, he was pretty much 'over it' midway through his first 16oz. Once you get through the horrific taste the rest is pretty easy, though I did warn about the chills which can be quite severe. I reckon it's because the body thinks it has been poisoned, but I wrapped him in blankets. 4am dose two. Poor guy took a trip on the struggle bus. A long hour of encouragement needed to get the rest of it all down and stay down. Pro tip: ask your doctor if they can give nausea pills.

The doctor was running late and I get really annoyed that they don't let spouses come back into the waiting area now. And that was problematic because they had a patient with so much anxiety they needed to spend 20 minutes of soothing (the doctor really is a great guy.. excellent bedside manner), pre drugging for relaxation before the other drugs, and getting their whole family to come back for reassurance anyway. Meanwhile my husband is freaking out alone and mad without his coffee.

But like many of the patients the doctor saw yesterday he helped save lives. Had my guy waited until 45 screening age guidelines or when his symptoms got even worse? May have been too late. Precancerous polyps turn into cancer with enough time. The doctor says people are getting them younger and younger these days, so there's no excuse to not get checked if you have any issues at all. It's the patients without symptoms that worry him.

Out of the facility and he immediately wants to go get coffee. He's complained about coffee so much the nurses are offering to get him some. He also got a giant sandwich but didn't eat a bite of it before he was fast asleep again. 😅

I'm having my colonoscopy next week.  This will be my second one.  Of course I'm dreading the prep too.  Wife's first colonoscopy will be the week after mine.

Last week was our dermatology appointments.  The doctor says my wife has the best skin in town.  Of course she does, she never goes out in the sun, at least not without sunscreen and being covered head to toe.  She's even got a burkini (never even knew there was such a thing) for swimming in the Keys.  Dermatologist hit me 5 times with the liquid nitrogen, and cut two areas.  One area was OK, and the other was not...squamous cell carcinoma!

Next week will not be fun.  Tuesday is my pre-op appointment for the colonoscopy, Wednesday I have a large excision to remove what my be left of the squamous cell, and Friday is the colonoscopy.  Later in the month will be the blood draw and visit with my primary.  I'm hating August already.

Maybe one reason we're so irritated by this process is that we realize that she'll realistically never wear any of these things again, sigh man.  And she's also yelling at us that we'll miss the July Many'st deadline for vacating (true) when part of it is her fault... but how can we fault her for agonizing over which crumbs of her life she wants to hang onto, huh man?
