If it is an RFE, then you must get the I-693, or you risk abandoning the AOS.

If it is just a courtesy notice, then you can wait and see if it turns into an RFE, or you go ahead and get the I-693 medical which overrides the DS-3025. 

 

We got a copy of the DS-3025 from the overseas doctor. 

You having a copy of the DS-3025 is irrelevant to how USCIS approve the medical.

USCIS still reserves the right request the I-693 medical regardless of DS-3025.

You can submit the AOS that you have and wait and see if USCIS requests the I-693 RFE?

Or you can go ahead and get the I-693 medical and submit with the AOS?

my fiancé only received the sealed envelope, no DS-3025

 

maybe she didn't receive the DS-3025 because she didn't have a vaccine record? In India no one keeps track of vaccines and she doesn't have any sort of record

The panel physician must fill the record anyway, to state if the applicant has the required vaccinations or not. 

 

So, I'm guessing your fiancée didn't get any vaccination during the medical?

The PANEL PHYSICIAN is required to provide a PERSONAL copy of the DS3025 AT the overseas medical exam. 

You can contact them to get your copy by email so you can at least see, inretrospect, if it was marked complete. 

Your post is confusing though as it doesn't say if you filed AOS already or you are filing NOW and are asking these questions TO FILE and your VJ timeline is definitely NOT accurate.

We never got any DS-3025, only a sealed envelope that contained the medical report which was not to be opened by us and to be handed to the consulate staff during the K-1 interview.

 

We called the Medical Office where we had the exam done and they said they do not hand out any forms besides the sealed envelope.

 

 

I guess I will just have to have a civil surgeon in the USA do the exam and fill out the DS-3025

Again, the PP is REQUIRED by the CDC who governs their ability to continue to offer Panel Physician services to provide a personal copy. 

You can easily show them that requirement from the CDC website via email. 

They have to give you a copy. They can lose their license if you file a complaint. 

You can get a copy JUST to see if it was complete and for peace of mind seeing that you ALREADY FILED AOS (????? No one knows still).

 

Also, you have not explained at which part of the process you are at NOW.

Your timeline says you don't even have a K1 visa yet but your post says different. Please fix your timeline so we can understand your situation and not have to ask. 

If you already filed AOS and didn't submit a photocopy of your personal copy of the DS3025, you wait for approval, or interview and if they still don't have your DS3025 which is unlikely, then you redo your medical and get an I693 after the fact. 

(DS3025s are only filled out abroad).

I heard somewhere that when sending copies of supporting documents for form i-485, i-864, i-131 etc. they must be self attested with your signature and date?

 

I've read the instructions for these forms and it says nothing about self attested

 

 

not sure how strict USCIS is about copies with writing on them, do they only want copies with no writing?

For the I-485, I-864, I-131, and I-765, this is what we did.

Supporting documents include the original marriage certificate, and everything else can be copies without the need to sign and date.

You can include in your cover letter the list of documents like: Original I-485 (signed and dated), Original Marriage Certificate, Copy of Birth Certificate,  Copy of Passport, Copy of Passport Visa, etc.

And mention in the cover letter that you can provide the original documents of any copies if USCIS requests it.

I have seen suggestions of writing the name and A-number on the back of all the copies like you do for the photos, but I don't think it is required.

My then fiancé, now wife, came on a K-1 visa, I am sending forms I-485 as a package along with I-765, I-864, I-131

 

My wife's eligibility category is supposed to be (a)(6) Fiancé(e) (K-1 or K-2 nonimmigrant) or (c)(9)    Pending adjustment of status under Section 245 of the Act ?

 

It says (c)(9) is for if you have pending I-485, so does that still count if submitting as a package with the I-485?

My 2022 and 2021 tax returns have W-2 and 1099-M but my 2020 tax returns only have W-2.

 

My 2020 tax returns don't have 1099, the instructions clearly say I must include W-2 AND 1099

 

which doesn't make sense because you only get a 1099 if you were required to, which I wasn't for 2020...
