Wow!!! May 17??? That makes me excited! Congratulations!!!

Yes, I was very surprised especially because both my fiancé and I sent an inquiry last week and I got a negative response on June 27th and he got this update just 2 days later!

I have also seen a few people on Facebook getting the same update, all NOA2s around mid-May so... anytime now!:)

Amazing!! I sent a public form inquiry and an email on Monday. Email came back negative on Tuesday, but I’m still waiting on the public inquiry response! My 90 day prediction was probably way far off (true to March NOA2s though, unfortunately). This is great news for all of us here!

NVC Timelines spreadsheet can be found here.
NOA1:
Feb 22nd, 2022 | NOA2: May 12th, 2023 (444 days) | NVC Received: July 3rd, 2023 (52 days) | Case number: Aug 2nd, 2023 (82 days) | In Transit: Aug 15th, 2023 (95 days)  | Ready: Aug 17th, 2023 | Medical: Sep 22nd, 2023 | Interview: Sep 26th, 2023

Probably not too far off if you include receiving a case number and CEAC status "In Transit" but it's great improvement, it's undoubtedly a much shorter wait!

Hopefully you'll get a positive update on your inquiry 🤞

NOA1: March 30, 2022

NOA2: May 08, 2023

NVC Received: June 28, 2023

2 inquiries were made:

30th day after noa2: NVC didn’t receive the petition yet.

50th day after noa2: NVC got the petition

Simultaneously, our GA representative made an inquiry at the USCIS, and confirmed that our petition was sent to NVC.

Hoping to get the Case Number soon.

Goodluck to all of us!

Hello, Ive seen different opinions on this but everything ive researched says to use the public inquiry form for that. That guide from 2020 is very helpful but hopefully someone udates it one of these days.

Thank you!

I am going to try anyway…

We have also sent an email to NVCResearch@state.gov and they replied:

"The National Visa Center (NVC) recently received your immigrant visa petition from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Your petition is now waiting for data entry into our systems."

They didn't say much, when or how long will it take to get a case number. But at least it's there and I don't have to worry about it. How long till they get it in the system, I honestly have no idea but I will give them 10 days.

I may have a bit of good news. I get notifications when timelines similar to mine are updated. This one came in today. My noa2 was may 5 2023. So hopefully any day now.

The first time we contacted them on June 12th using the NVC contact form.

The second time we emailed directly at nvcresearch@state.gov like they advised us to do. We also joined a scanned copy of our Notice of Approval.

Wow, I am waiting on the public form inquiry I sent Monday (received a negative answer on Tuesday from the research email).
But after so many good news here from late May NOA2s, I just sent an email again today haha! Fingers crossed (fingers crossed they answer it before the holiday too).

Congratulations everyone. Hoping it doesn't take long for a case number!!

Hi. was your negative answer that they havnt received it from USCIS? I made a public inquiry on monday and got a reply today. They said they they havnt received my petition yet and that if its been at least six weeks from noa2 date (5/4/23) then i can send an email to nvcresearch and they will contact USCIS to find my petition. So i sent nvc research that email today. Im a little concerned but if there are other folks with similar noa2 dates still waiting for nvc to receive their petition then ill feel a little at ease.
