We are sending my husbands packet on 5/8/23. I’m super nervous about it too!  We have a previous rental agreement, we have bought a house and vehicles, joint bank statements, joint insurances, have each other as beneficiaries on things, plenty of traveling and pictures, but I just realized we don’t have joint utility bills.

That's OK. Can you add each other on utility bills meanwhile?

It may become relevant if you receive RFE or file N-400 under 3 year rule. Your evidence looks good and absense of utility bills should't hurt too much.

We definitely can. We won’t have proof in time to send his packet but it will be there in case we have to interview for I-751 and will definitely be there for N-400. He works a lot so I just took care of it all when we moved and didn’t think much about it until now!

We have the same evidence plus utility bills. I think you are more than fine! Good luck

Joint utility bills aren't that important. Everyone's living circumstances are different, so it's completely normal to have a mix of things that vary from person to person.

If you still want to use utility bills to bolster your evidence though, you can still send one that is in your name and one that is in his. For example, if the power bill is in your name but the internet is in his, it still shows further proof that you are a) both living at that address and b) both contributing to bills. If that doesn't work either, and all bills are in your name, leave it out and don't worry about it.

@hlynnf23 I wouldn't wait for joint bills to file I-751.

File it as soon as you're ready and 90 day window opens.

Oh no, definitely not waiting. We have tons of other evidence so I’m sure we will be fine but I had a quick panic moment 😂

Don't swaet the small stuff USCIS is not gonna deny you over no utility bills (joint), your other stated items are more than suffcient. You did not mention taxes.

Definitely have joint taxes from 2020, 2021 and 2022. We will send tax transcripts for the first two years and the return for this past year since it hasn’t been processed yet.

Hello May 2023 filer gang!

We will be in that group then, as I'm getting ready to mail our packet. Anyone would have a kind of template/cover letter?  That would help me out greatly into organizing everything!

Thanks in advance and I'm gonna follow up with my filed date
