My wife applied at NVC and she just submitted AOS and W2 which is way more than what's required to support....Does W2 is just enough or is it a must to submit Tax Transcript or Tax return?

The consulates will want the most recent tax transcripts or a copy of the most recent tax return.  Tax transcripts are generally preferred by the consulates.

Good Luck!

I assume this is evidence to support the I864?  If so, then this is what is outlined in the instructions.

Item Numbers 23.a. - 25. Federal Income Tax Return Information. You must provide either an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) transcript or a photocopy from your own records of your Federal individual income tax return for the most recent tax year. If you believe additional returns may help you to establish your ability to maintain sufficient income, you may submit transcripts or photocopies of your Federal individual income tax returns for the three most recent years.

Yes As support for i864 we only submitted w2 of most recent year. Do you think it is mandatory to submit tax transcript/tax return also?

The W2 is only part of the tax return and it does not show the adjusted gross income that is shown on the 1040 tax form.  Hence the need for either the tax transcript or a copy of the tax return.

Yes, it is a must to submit either a complete tax return including the W2, or a Tax RETURN Transcript from the IRS.  You will not get in the interview queue without it.

Yes you are right they reject the W2 today  and they want recent TAX TRANSCRIPT/RETURNS and all wages in the year... Please be advised to notify the members it is not a choice as what it appeared to be on NVC to upload tax transcripts/returns IT IS MANDATORY!!!

This is the NVC text.."Please upload and submit MisX most recent Wage and Income IRS tax transcript from 2021. A transcript can be obtained on the IRS's website: https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript. If you were not required to file a tax return, please write, and scan an explanation for not filing. If you filed taxes with your spouse, please also submit all of your W-2s and or 1099s"

Tax Transcript/Return is a MANDATORY financial supporting document......you are right👍

Note, that the senior members here already know they were "right".  Even junior members who read instructions carefully, interpret them literally, and act accordingly, know this.  Waiting for confirmation has cost you some weeks.
