Hello

I had my citizenship interview on Jan 3rd. It was combined interview for I-751 and N-400 and passed them.

To be exact, I got my 10 year green card couple weeks ago and my citizenship remained in "my case was submitted for quality review based on an approval recommendation".

My interview officer said everything looked fine and she recommended approval but my case status hasn't changed.

Since I changed my name through N-400, I'm aware that I need to wait for juridicial oath ceremony and that's not happening often.

How long should I wait to call USCIS to check my case status?

Are there anyone gone through similar situation?

Too soon to worry about given your  interview was less than a month  ago.

Since  you opted for a name change, you should not expect to take oath of citizenship in 2023. If you do, be pleasantly surprised and hope to god that you get your proof of name change document at oath. Otherwise the nightmare will continue.

Really?  OMG!!!!  Why is that?  I'm glad my wife did not opt for a name change (3 day until oath ceremony).

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Totally depends on your field office. I had a name change and only 3 business days between interview and oath, as an example. The name change document/form had been approved and signed by a judge the same day of my interview, so techincally I guess I could've had a same-day oath if they had still done those back then.

No judicial ceremony in my case, just a standard USCIS field office oath with no judge present.
