In the case of CR1 IR1 visa from Nigeria. I was notified my case was documentarily  qualified on the 15th Dec 2022 and I am yet to get an interview date. Please I want to know if I have to personally register and chose and interview date myself or do I have to wait for the NVC to send me an interview date? Secondly how long does it take for an interview date to be scheduled? Please I need answers. Thank you

You have to wait.  The consulate won't get your case documents until after the interview is scheduled by NVC.

1. Case is DQ'd by NVC.

2. Case then enters NVC queue for your consulate and waits at NVC.

3. Consulate informs NVC of available interview date for upcoming month.

4. NVC schedules interview when case reaches the front of the queue for that consulate.

5. NVC notifies person of interview date via email.

6. NVC then sends case to consulate.

After the interview is scheduled, it can take several days to several weeks for the consulate to receive the case.

Yet to receive? You’ve only been DQ’d one month. NVC will send you an interview letter with the date once your case gets to the front of the line.

Looks like you have about a 7 month wait ahead to receive an interview letter and another 3 months for the actual interview.

Hmm if you get it 7 months, that's means things have change for the better. We have been waiting since October 2021 date of DQ.
Hoping we get letter this week by God's grace

😲😲 whaaaaat!

Is it possible to apply for expedite at this stage?

Why?  Because you don’t want to wait in the queue of those who were DQd before you?   Nope.
