Interview CR1 Preparation

Hi All,

I got interview letter from NVC (01/12/23). I'm trying to gather all things I need for the interview, but I have things that I'm sure, could anyone help me on this? thank you.

  1. Do I need to bring original affidavit of support to the interview? or would it be enough just the copy. This makes me confused because I read two different thread said two different things. Meanwhile on NVC prep website they say this: "You do not need to bring your Affidavit of Support or financial evidence you submitted to NVC". any thought?
  2. On the letter said, I need to bring all documents that I submitted on CEAC. What other document that I should bring?
  3. They said, I need to register for courier / pick up passport. I tried to log in my CGI account, create a new application, enter my preference pick up / courier service and on the last step, it said The Case ID that you have entered cannot be found.  any idea how to solve this ?

Thank you, happy weekend

Where there is a difference between the general information given on the NVC site and the information given by your Consulate, always follow the Consulate information

Hi @Lil bear,

Thank you for your reply but the interview letter didn't really tell whether the copy of affidavit support is fine.

From memory .. i do not believe that an original “ wet” signature is needed of the I864 for interview .. a photocopy or printed emailed copy is ok

Send an email to the US Embassy in Jakarta and ask them the question about your issue with the delivery process and they are best to tell you.  The US Embassy Website gives you their email address to contact them and my experience has been tha they always reply.

Good luck.
