You never win with USCIS. So, take the easy way out by paying.

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

Good evening,

I have another question. We started filling out the online application but it is requiring the date of when my mom became a permanent resident; since she never received the card, we don't know the date. What shall we put in that section? System would not let us submit the application without that information.

Thank you so much again in advance for your help!

Did she get her LPR status  through an immigration visa or I-485?

Through an immigration visa.

Thank you

The date she arrived on her immigration visa is the date she became an LPR.

Hello!

It's me again. I have another questions. So we submitted the Form I-90, Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card  and paid the fee this time on 12/30/2022. And the status system is stating, " Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS" and "Your next milestone: receive your case decision".

How long does it take to get the green card replacement approved? Can my mom apply for a temporary travel document while waiting? We're hoping she will receive her green card before December as she is really wanting to go visit the Philippines on Christmas of this year.

Thank you so much in advance!

Yes, your mom may contact USCIS to request a temporary I-551 (ADIT) stamp.  USCIS mails those now, usually no need for in-person appointment --

There's no such document. The closest thing is I-131 re-entry permit. But it can take as much as I-90 or longer.

You can try to obtain a I-551 (ADIT) stamp in the passport.

For that, get an Infopass appointment with local field office. You may need to show them I-90 receipt.
